What is "TFX and SFX" ?
Time effects and sound effects
F*** these as****es. I wouldn't buy a toothpick off them.
We can't fucking cuss here? What they did to you, @Ailerom ?
So you pledge $20 and wait to see if the target is reached (it's on 2 of 100 at the moment), then what? How do they give you access to the app on the App Store? Says something about 'delivery by email' but just seems a bit flaky to me.
Not sure if I should elaborate as the usual case would be similar to not elaborating, i.e., some people will defend them and some will agree with me. Short version is, the lied, did not come through on repeated promises and took my money without providing any of the support or refunds they promised. Plus they were beyond extremely difficult to get a response from.
I know there are certain words that are not tolerated on this forum so I was just being careful.
Looks interesting, kind of, but doesn't really look like anything you couldn't cobble together pretty easily from existing plugins / apps, no?
How does this work exactly? I’ve never done a Kickstarter for a plugin. At the end of the 82 days do we just got charged as usual or will it wait until it hits the App Store? Also not much info on what the app actually is. I get it’s a vocal app but a more in depth description would be nice.
I love Mammoth and Rhino though so I’m sure it’ll be good. Anyone sign up?
Not only that, but I'm scratching my head and wondering what this app can do that I can't already do with Brusfri, Waves Tune RT/Bleass Voices, Choric, EQ, delay, reverb, and TB's exquisite compressor. Sometimes all-in-one plugins are nice, but to me they feel rather limited (and I'm not talking about brickwalling a signal, lol).
I don't think a stray cussword here and there is intolerable. However, if you cuss a lot or type in all caps or act crazy (or a combo therein), then the mods may take notice. (I cuss like a sailor in private amongst my mates, not usually in public these days, but damn it, your mileage may vary. )
Thanks, @jwmmakerofmusic, i don't wish to push any boundaries or make ppl uncomfortable.
Yeah, I see absolutely nothing compelling about this product for people who have a good, varied app collection already
LOL! I used to be quite the opposite a couple years ago. I haven't matured much since then. 🤪 Kidding, but I do watch what I type in public.
Exactly mate.
Hey we could all be famous some day, so might as well keep a decent profile, in case I want to sell out to Disney and they only want a "family friendly" act
I keep getting Xvox advertised to me at the moment. Looks like knock but for vocals. Anyone know if that’s any good? Something that might come to ios perhaps?
Their app logos are second to none.
They’ve got 18 donators now so it looks like they may well meet their target
Rhino and Mammoth are great so I’m sure this will be great for vocals. I’d be more interested if I had something better than a $40 condenser mic though. The screenshots give me the impression of an easy, all in one vocal suite like how Rhino is with guitar
That's my thinking as well.
I'm thrown a loop by the Kickstarter.
What about it throws you for a loop?
I’m kinda conflicted. On the one hand sure I can do all of this with what I already have, but on the other hand it’s kind of nice to not have to make an effect chain from scratch every time I want to process vocals or something. There’s definitely something to be said about ease of use and convenience. Especially if it sounds good.
Since there isn’t a ton of info right now it’s hard to know if there’s anything super unique or grabbing that this can do that other things can’t. So it makes me think…do I back it and see where it goes or wait until it’s out and decide? But if everyone waits and no one backs it, it’ll never come out lol.
Anyway I’m interested just off the backs of Rhino and Mammoth. Those are genuinely great.
Meh, this bad marketing...
...they should at least include a list of all the features/functions instead of a lame 'cropped screen-shot'.
DeEsser, Compressor, Limiter, Gate, Multi-Band EQ, Breath and Mouth-Clicks remover, Denoiser, De-Reverb should all be in there but I doubt that...
I may enter a give-away but there's no way in h*ll I'll pay for a pig in a box no matter who the developer is...
I think in the iOS world their plugins are good and function with any problems I've noticed. The problems I have with the company providing the worst customer experience I've had in over 20 years of online music purchases stem from their vst3 plugins. So yes, I agree their products are good on iOS and this new one might be as well. I've just been unfortunate enough to see the people behind the product and that has tainted my view of their whole product line.
Is it a widespread issue? Maybe it’s because I’m disconnected from the desktop world (iOS only) but I haven’t heard a whole lot of negative opinions on them.
Exactly. I’m not committing to anything until I see an exact feature list and/or detailed demo of some kind. $20 is a lot to put on the line for something we know next to nothing about.
Neither have I, but I'm not looking for them either. There haven't been any issues in the iOS world. All I know is, if you have problems, and I can only go on my experience, they are really bad people to deal with.
I love the sound of Mammoth and Rhino, using them sparsely because of unfavourable privacy reports. But in time, I replaced them with tools from Eventide, UA and Caelum, etc.
Disney used to be "family friendly" when I was a kid.
I think all that has changed these days. Heaven knows, anything goes
Pig in a BLACK Box is no way to do marketing
Hmmm, it appears this one has not managed to generate the coveted "instabuuuuuuuuy" responses. 🤷
3 out of 100 purchases for the ios version in a couple of weeks? - not looking good...👎
