Amazing Noises apps gone from App Store?

Anyone know why or if there’s plans for new apps/updates? DubFilter and GliderVerb are the only 2 left up.

  • Any updates on this? I shoulda bought Dedalus when I had the chance lol

  • Oh wow, terrible. Contact the dev? I'm glad I've got the whole lot, even though I don't use them as much as I should.

Unfortunately going to their website (that’s linked on the 2 remaining apps) gives a message that says the server can no longer be found. I haven’t had to contact them before so I don’t have another email. Do you know of another one?

I know the dev teamed up with the Apesoft dev to make some new apps but mentioned here a good while back that they were desktop only. Maybe they’re just done with the iOS world? I hope that’s not the case.

  • Just looked and they’re all still listed on the Apesoft web site. I’m hoping it’s maybe a case of them moving all the apps over to the Apesoft brand, especially if their new joint venture is desktop only. All the Apesoft stuff looks present and correct.

I have Limiter, and it’s still in my purchased list, luckily. I use it in every AUM project for safety purposes, after seeing Dean from Electronisounds using it. I’ll be gutted if it’s discontinued.

I’m still seeing them in my purchased list as well. I hope it’s something simple. I love and use their apps a lot so I’d hate to see the Amazing Noises apps go. I never got Dedalus or Limiter but was actually planning on finally getting them next week 😂

  • In the Apesoft page says that the item is no longer available. Just checked Moebius Lab and Dedalus

Dang. I love Meobius Lab. Kinda bummed I never got Dedalus though.

Great thanks, Gav! Hopefully there’s some good news.

  • Oh man. I use Moebius almost as much as AUM. I haven’t had to freeze an iPad yet. I would probably do it to keep Moebius Lab around.

Yeah I’d consider doing it to keep all my Amazing Noises apps. Meobius, DubFilter, GliderVerb, and Reverb FDN are all fantastic and I use all 4 of them a lot.

  • All is well!

Thanks for getting in contact with them! I only found out because I was going to their page to buy Limiter and it was gone. Divine timing I guess 😂 glad all is well, them/Apesoft are 2 of my favorite developers.

  • I guess these things are a reminder that appaholism has its good side lol. I bought all the Amazing Noises and apeSoft apps available shortly after I got serious about ipad music. Wish now, for example, that I had also got all the PPG apps. But hey, there are so many ways to skin a cat and really, most of us don't need or don't use even a tiny number of the apps we have on any regular basis. I just wish the inbuilt modulation system these apps use was adopted by all devs. Something equally as powerful as these, or even better perhaps, should really be mandatory additions to all apps. So few apps have truly great internal modulation possibilities.

Yes the modulation in their apps is a huge plus. I do kinda get annoyed that it takes away the double tap to reset knob position function but it’s a fair trade off I suppose.

I bought all of the Apesoft apps (except ApeMatrix) and most of the Amazing Noises. It’s just those 2 I skipped on and now it’s too late 😂 luckily I have tons of other limiters and delays but those 2 did seem to have a unique approach.

Sad I missed the PPG apps as well. I never had any of them for some reason. I guess at the time I thought Nave was enough lol which it honestly probably was but it would be nice to still have the PPG ones around.

Thanks! I just saw that. Very tempted to grab one of the 2 I’m missing but with Igor’s new app coming out today it looks like they’re gonna have to wait. Glad they’re back though.

I sure have been sleeping on my copy of GliderVerb, I didn’t realize how cool it is. But you have to use the IAA plugin or standalone version to get all the goodness it seems, the big d- breaker fir many, maybe most. Of course, it has all the standard ItaLyFOs,, but it also has a pretty neat XY pad controllers that deserve attention. Perfect I think for ambient and ambient-adjacent.

*and hey wow, the standalone version is apparently free. Everybody shoukd have this, unless they really really really hate IAA.

Gliderverb reminds me of the GSDSP apps, not quite as sophisticated, but it’s like 10 years old for chrissake. @gavinski, have you fiddled with this, esp the standalone?

100% some similarities to the GSDSP apps. Same with the Apesoft filter and delays apps (which I also recommend if you haven’t yet tried them).

Thanks for the tip. I do have apedelay from the amazing noise/ ape category, I have pretty much everything. I thought I needed classic fx, but that’s Igor. I was thinking of a Vintage something? which I don’t have.

I also don’t have reverb FDN, or apefilter.

Thoughts on those three? They’re only ones missing from my stash.

No worries haha - same here, my memory is really shot. I blame excessive phone and social media use, in my personal case. Though now that I'm in Thailand where weed is legal, rather than China where it's asking for jail time, I should probably add some weed to the list of things destroying my memory 😂

ClassicFX and Vintage Rack are both Igor apps and I highly recommend them both. But VintageRack is a lot more accessible. ClassicFX still has the older, less accessible Igor UI, so if you don’t like something like Beatcutters interface, I’d avoid classic and just go for vintage rack.

Reverb FDN is a great experimental reverb. It can be a little on the cold side but can lead to some really cool atmospheric, icy sounds. ApeFilter is really good too and one of my favorite filter apps probably. If you buy it, just be weary because it can get LOUD. Might wanna throw a limited on the channel first.
