Ah man this is a classic. This along with the Yamaha salesman video are some of the best synth demos ever.
“This is rock n roll”
I dunno, maybe rockcore rollstep?
Fun video, though, I might have achieved enlightenment. Just like that
The only thing stopping me from buying one of these things is thinking I’ll be terribly disappointed when I try to, you know, finger drum on it
Anyone actually got one?
How responsive is it compared to a bunch of piezo mics and a little soldering and hot glue?
very interesting

I just found the cheaper one used. The factory patches seem to have three levels of velocity, but my understanding is that it puts out the entire range via midi. So responsiveness would vary depending on whether you're using the internal sounds, or using it as a midi controller to drive an external sample with more velocity layers (which I have yet to try).
It is surprisingly easy to play and get usable beats out of. Only took me an hour or so to get some chops together.
I can agree with the lack sensitivity. Bought the 30 and sent it back. I much prefer the feel of mpd218 or maschine pads.
@HarlekinX Thanks for posting !
Thanks for mentioning Maschine. The pads on this thing are indeed amazing and if you are lucky you can get the Maschine+ for around 500€. And it's so much more than FDGP.
