[AAFileBrowser] Audio file manager with audio editor, converter, auv3 ...
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/aafilebrowser/id6463693594
Hi, I want to invite you to try my new audio file manager app with extra features such as audio editor, audio converter, audio joiner, browser that can run as AUv3 plugin.
The app also supports iCloud drive so that you just copy file(s) to aaiCloud folder and they will be sync to all other devices
To access extra features, you just long-press on file(s) or folder(s). A popup will show up with extra features such as edit with audio editor, convert/extra audio, join audio/video etc.
FEATURES:
- One-tap to preview audio/video file. It will be played on small view at the bottom of screen
- Audio editor with spectral editing and zoom-in at audio-sample level
- Batch convert, batch rename audio files (you can select folder then it will batch convert all files inside that folder)
- Web Browser can run as AUv3 PLUGIN. this can route audio from any website that use Web Audio API to the host app. It can detect audio stream(.wav, .mp3, .aac, .m3u8) on viewing website, then you can play it inside host app
- Nearby send/receive file(s), Wifi drive.
- iCloud drive supported
- please visit AppStore for full list of features
Most features (like file manager, browser, audio editor, iCloud ...) are all FREE. Some advance features such as Audio Unit, AUv3 things need a purchases to use. If you dont use advance features, you can use this app for your FREE audio file management.
I really need your FEEDBACK so that I can improve it

A subscription for a file manager app? Are you serious? That's an instant turn off for me, so I will not be trying it out. Sorry.
Your other apps are single purchases, so why is this one subscription?
Same, I won't even download an app that is subscription.
Looks like an app with some good ideas though. I hope it does well for you.

If it was a purchase, I’d buy it. A sub? Never. Sorry…
Is there a demo period for the sub features?
Personally I don’t care if an app is a sub or not if it does what I want it to, but even people that were screaming for logic for years and years, bailed on a 50$/yr sub, i gonna go out on a limb and say 20/yr is a non starter for most people 🙃
The anti-subbers are out again! As if we hadn’t heard you in the last thousand threads you hijacked. It’s like hanging out on a food forum and every time someone starts a thread about a vegetarian dish, you jump in and say “I’ll never eat a dish without a meat option in it.”
We get it. You don’t like subs. Maybe don’t spray your opinions over every single thread so we all have to hear it again.
Trying out the free version just to see what it’s about but unfortunately I gotta echo the sentiment here. $20/year or $3/month is a bit too pricey for me.
Edit: after messing around in the app I will say I dig it. All of these features in one app is cool. It’s laid out in an intuitive way, the browser is nice and more stable than the Blue Mangoo so far, and being able to save pages in it is a big plus. Automatically importing from photos and being able to convert and extract it, etc. This app does a lot.
That said, I would highly recommend adding a lifetime unlock. A lot (and I mean a lot) of people aren’t going to bite on a subscription for this but the app does seem great so I want to see it get some sales.
My mistake. During my developing I increased price for testing purpose but forgot not setting it back to normal.
I set it back now. So sorry again. it's $1.99/month and $14.99/year
@mistercharlie : I am going to post against subs every time an app pops up which requires one, because I want the dev to know they are losing at least one potential customer through adopting that pricing structure. I consider that valuable feedback for the dev, whether or not they - or anyone else - cares to hear it. Silent acceptance of the subs model will allow music apps to go the way of ‘loot box ‘ infested ‘games as a service’ scams. This lobster, at least, has noticed that the water temperature is rising.
Maybe if you don't like anti-sub opinions, you can safely ignore it and move on? It's not like you need to stir the nest of already aggravated hornets? The dev asked for feedback, and we're giving him that feedback.
There are only three subs I've used regarding music creation - Auxy, MusicPutty, and Logic. All three seemed worth constantly paying a monthly bill for. In fact I'm considering resubbing to Auxy since after trying for 3 months to make LP4i work for me, it just didn't. I cancelled my MusicPutty sub since my method with Cubasis and Waves Tune RT works best for me personally. Ymmv.
However subbing to a files management app? Come on. That's not worth it.
I never rule out a sub for any kind of app (25$ CAD a year could totally be worth it for me) but I tend not to bother installing apps where the Premium Features are not clearly posted in the app store description. But what the hey I will give it a whirl.
Spectral editor is very useful (and free), perfect for removing unwanted noises. Thanks, @anhnd101. Maybe you should consider making a full-on audio editor.
The non free version looks great - for me, for this, one off purchase yes, subscription no.
You have chordplayer website on the display, does it output midi??
Looks interesting. What I might've missed from the video is whether the AUv3 audio gets passed down the audio chain or not, aka is it possible to record the audio directly from the app e.g with Koala in the following FX slot?
Thanks
Just to chime in on the feedback, as a fellow lobster who noticed the water getting hot, no subs is also my response, very interesting and useful app, but give me a price to buy not rent. App rental is an evil that reminds me of a bond villain telling me I will own nothing and be happy. I succumbed for Logic Pro, as my one necessary (evil), not doing any more.
Subs... No subs. 👎🏽
I believe that website itself does yes, but it’s not coming from the app. So whether or not the the app will allow midi to pass through, I’m not sure. That website and app are totally different entities.
From my experience so far, yes you can. I did one month to try it out. It’s useful.
I did one month to try this app out and it’s really useful and honestly a pretty good app. Really needs a one time purchase option though.
Cool. Excited to test it.
Good to know. Thanks.
I'll say what I want when I want, thanks.
The ignore button is there if it ruins your day that bad.
I’m not interested in trying it. There’s no way I would subscribe for an app of this type. I do hope it finds an audience and is successful though.
I don't think their opinions are over "every single thread" - just the threads about apps that have subs.
+1 on the “sounds interesting… oh, subs, no thanks” side. Pity. I’ll wait for AudioShare 3.
Thanks! Definitely interested. Will trial it soon, I guess.
There are a lot of features available without needing the subscription. You might want to check them out before deciding.
Subscription = NO
