+1 on the “sounds interesting… oh, subs, no thanks” side. Pity. I’ll wait for AudioShare 3.

There are a lot of features available without needing the subscription. You might want to check them out before deciding.

No, I don’t think so. YMMV.

  • Here's a quick demo of the Spectral Audio Editor - no subscription required!

If you think it’s interesting why not try the free version? Most of it is free. I’m not following the logic I guess. Or I misunderstood something?

You’ve misunderstood something. The dev has made some useful apps previously, but in this case I already have AudioShare, which works well with AUM and some other apps. Nevertheless, I was going to give this a spin to be supportive, but I really don’t approve of the subs model. So no, I’m not interested in the free version either. It’s not offering me anything I’m desperate for, and TBH I’d sooner support Jonatan when he gets round to his new version of AudioShare.

Ah I see. If you already have those bases covered then fair enough! I got it just to try it out and see how it is. The spectral editor is nice and pretty unique on iOS I believe. Even still, I’ll be first in line for a new Audioshare app regardless. Has that been announced? That would be great!

“Announced” might be overdoing it. He’s said it’s in the pipeline, but no timescale.

  • I’ve always been curious, Is zolotovs’ virtual ans3 capable of the same kind spectral editing to your own wave files? Is there any other iOS apps that allow for highlight and deletions of isolated parts of the spectrogram like from the posted video

virtual ans is not an audio editor. it isn't really intended, as far as I can tell, for artifact-free applications.

  • There was this app, but I think it could only load 3 seconds of audio - hasn’t been updated in 2 years.

Ah gotcha. Either way it’s cool to know it will eventually happen. And with how far everything has come I’m sure it’ll be fantastic. Wonder if it’ll be completely integrated into AUM? (More so than now even)
