Wow $4.99? Instabuy for me. I’ve been looking forward to this one.

I’m guessing their organ app they teased will be next.

Who knows, that organ is not even on beta

Yeah I noticed that. Isn’t it the Philicorda? Fingerlabs already has a really really great one, so I’m not hurting for it, but since AudioThing veers more experimental I’m curious what there interpretation will be like.

Yes I'm also curious. I don't know how good it sounds compared to the original hardware units but I really love that Fingerlab one, so yeah, Audiothing will need to do something interesting with this one to compete.

Agreed. Fingerlabs is one of my favorite developers on the platform, and I surprisingly don’t see them mentioned as much as I’d think I would. Considering I still choose their Mellotron app over Sampletron half the time, the AudioThing version would have to be really special to beat it.

I think it is because their apps often have some irritating bugs or missing features. They're an interesting dev, but far from top tier for me, tbh, and their built in fx are subpar

I’ve see a small mention about bugs but have never experienced many, if any, myself. And I’ve really put a lot of their apps through their paces. Mellowsound, SK-51, iPhilicorda, and PolyWave have gotten a ton of use from me and I can’t think of any major issues I’ve had.

I kinda hate that the sampler isn’t a part of the AU version of SK-51 though. Weird omission.

Organwise, I’m going to put throw a good word for the Streetlytron, which I think sounds great, and has a ton of different voices incl several vocal choirs that can really be mangled into something otherworldly. Nice companion to the Fingerlab app, which is indeed smoov as honey to the ears. (Warning: contains pure unadulterated IAA.)

They always fix bugs quickly, but the apps tend to be released with quite a few bugs, in my experience

Ah gotcha, I guess I got lucky as I’ve never really had any issues lol

I’ve heard good things about it! I have their Sopranotron app which sounds beautiful. I use Mellowsound and Sampletron for my Mellotron needs so I think I’m covered there for now.

  • Agreed.

Have you tried the others? I am still curious how it compares. I remember when it was first coming out everyone here seemed to love it a lot.
