Sounds great. Fantastic UI. It’s pretty resource intensive here on my iPad Air 3. Device heats up a bit while running in stand alone. I can max out on 6 instances in AUM.

The modelling under the hood is pretty hard on the CPU but will look to see if there's anything that can be optimised without sacrificing the sound quality.

@Freeco what is the AUv3 parameter ‘crosspoint’ controlling? It is listed in the AU parameters list but I neither see nor hear it doing anything when I map it to an LFO, thanks!

The 'Crosspoint' parameter (only available from host automation) sets the point in the envelope's path where the 'Decay' knob affects the envelope's speed, rather than the 'Attack' knob. By default it's set to 20% of the path's length, but it might be interesting to move this around for some sounds.

I've got this thing making some lovely noises, but all of them start with a click. Anyone know how to soften the start? The attack knob doesn't seem to help.

I've added a 'Smooth' knob to the next update, specifically for softening / removing unwanted clicks, which will be sent to Apple for app review pretty soon hopefully.

    Not yet :)

Dont have app. Wonder what parameters can automated etc ?

Dont know much about wavetable. If its a wavetable engine. Think wavetable needs full phase ( I guess ) To stop oscilator click. So maybe there needs to be a phase setting.

You can specify the start position of a wavetable using the TABLE knob, which can also be automated, try that @FastGhost @sigma79 all the parameters are exposed, as far as I can see without spending an hour double checking it, but looks that way. Of course, the mseg envelopes are not automatable, that would be a nightmare / impossible to expose

iOS with only presets plus midi control could be an exercise in removing more than additional work to port to iOS and prove valuable for both iPhone users who enjoy presets anyway and iPad users who want to sync their work for portable use

The Teenage Eng field series revived interest in iPhone music imo and that audience can be marketed to for easy use kicks

It could be an exercise in that. It could equally be an exercise in getting bad reviews on the appstore saying 'I saw envelopes in a youtube vid, where tf are the envelopes mate, 2 star review and a refund request'

I like this thing--seems to specialize in short sounds with quick attack and little sustain which can produce some very interesting hits and bass sounds. If you haven't discovered it, tapping the THUMP ONE label in the top left generates random sounds (much quicker and easier than using the menu option).

[Complaints about clicks removed as it's already being addressed.]

Sorry @Freeco failed to read your update above before posting. Great fun app otherwise!

Thnx! Any other parameters that are in the parameter list but not the gui?

To me it would make sense to allow the user to change the 'Crosspoint' in the UI using a small arrow on top of the envelope view?! (Kinda Sorry I didn't jump on beta for this one...).

    Cheers!

  • Also wondering if/how sustained notes can be created ... without the usual ADSR type envelope, can the MSEGs be configured to create a sustain phase, and if so, what about release?

No.. Wonder if that's an option @Freeco would consider adding

Could be cool to tie the UI theme color to the Wavetables wave.

Did a hard reset and It stills gets temps up pretty quickly. Not the end of the world, but it’s pretty noticeable.

Yeah definitely seems like there's room for optimisation. Is it hard on the battery?

I haven’t had the time to really give it a go for more that 15-20 mins at a time. I didn’t notice any significant hit over a short time.

Awesome video by Jakob Haq! -->

  • A bit annoying with the laggy dials, as can be seen in JH video. Doesn't really matter as it sounds great.
