Best of luck with the video mate. :)

Thanks everyone for the helpful comments so far. I'm going to use this to inform the video that I'm putting together and also my communication with UVI. I got a response from their marketing department and they told me to let them know when the video was posted, so we'll see if anything comes of that. I've only got a few of the sound expansion packs. There are 62 total right now (by my count), and it looks like about 23 of them were released sometime after July 2018, and the newer ones seem to have some better sounds. The last app update was on 9/1/22, so it's conceivable that they may still implement further updates, or at least fixes. I'd love to experiment with all of the packs and post some examples of them in use.

Good luck with the vid! Let us know when it’s done

Imo, its real strength is as an instrument……”

    +1

I genuinely struggle with the work flow for this app.

The sounds are good but the troublesome interface always discourages me from using it.

Crazy idea. If everyone in this thread would send feedback to the developer about Beathawk auv3 not remembering what was previously loaded. Maybe we could get a update. It worked in other threads

    Here's the support link

    https://support.uvi.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

This is the answer I received from UVI support.

Can anybody else with the same problem send the support request so we can get this fixed?

Is this happening in AUM? I use it in AUM and I have seen a couple weird things, but only very infrequently, where it would forget the song that was loaded, but I could just reload it, so not a huge problem, just annoying.

  • @Strizbiz and @jwmmakerofmusic were talking about it earlier in the thread.

The first video is published. There will probably be 3 or 4 total to cover everything that I want to show.

Let’s Play iOS Music Apps - BeatHawk Intro and Overview #1

Please let me know if there's anything that you want to see covered in the future videos or questions on this one, and I'll do my best.

I will also add that this piece uses the string packs available in Beathawk.

Nice to hear from you. Ish. Hope all is well. Do I remember this one? From your set of fifteen (was it 15?), maybe?

Nice to hear from you to Michael.
All is well, I hope all is well with you also.

Nah, this piece was from when I had first got the string sounds
in Beathawk and I was using dRambo as a sequencer in AUM.
I think it was about a month in after getting dRambo.

There have been various sets of compositions,
I've still yet to finish the 40 or so electronica pieces
in Cubasis 3 though they are near completion
however my muse pushed me in the direction of modular synthesis
to which I now have a really compact modular rig
(a couple of semi modular synths and a handful of modules)
that serves for some of my design experiments. :)

  • Beathawk is by far my most used singular app. For me it’s easy and I like the time stretch. It def has been the most stable and dependable. Instruments and packs are good.

Besides putting the piano roll in the most unique place to find I can load beathawk and knock a beat out easy. Uvi did say there was an update coming but never saw it. Just now started having problems in logic after the update so I’m sure that prob is on logic’s end does great in BM3.
