  • I think SUBscription might be paid now and was only free for a limited time. I do love that app though.

I deserve that for not fully reading the question.

  • Triplex Classic FM synth is cool too!

Even though those are not synths, they are good to know they are free. :) I also like Baby Audio's free plugins too.

Anyways, back to synths. +1 for Monolit. Probably my favourite of the free variety.

Not sure if SUBscription synth is paid for now (can you confirm if so and what price @CaelumAudio ?), but definitely worth it for gritty sounds. Was free a few months back.

I must look into Triplex FM Synth.

  • Primer 2 is pretty good.

  • Viking Synth - simple monophonic analog modeled synth with 3 oscillators…easy to use on an iPhone screen, has AUv3

    Good call.

I think Modulin is free if still available.

Highly recommend all the Triplex apps. They’re some of my favorite apps of the year this year. Really great.

Excellent! Will buy the lot when I make more money. Spent my allotment on Module Pro IAPs this week. 😂

Haha I figured so 😂 I’m probably gonna grab the new IAP myself while it’s on sale. Based on the demos I may prefer it over orchestral dreams. I’m undecided though.

I hate I can’t access the presets from drambo :(

  • Another vote for Spectrum.

Don’t see this one get as much love lately but it’s still excellent, imo. Sounds fantastic.

  • I have only three free synths installed: ChowKick, Spectrum, and Viking.

Have you checked out BLEASS' Monolit? It's really quite good.

I have Monolit indeed, but for some reason I don’t categorize it as free software, nor SUBscription. They are just marketing shenanigans for me. 🤔 So promoting the small developers and their fantastic work is in the first place.

It’s great right? Basically a MiniMoog clone but it’s almost as excellent as Moog’s own.
