Oh Lord… people have no idea what you’re dealing with. My daughter and nephew have special needs kids and the stress on the parents is beyond what anyone understands. And everyone has simple advice based on their parenting or childhood experiences.
Oh wow! Hands full. Take your time bro! Prayers for you and your family 🙏🏽
Yeah it's been pretty full-on! Thanks, guys.
Oh goodness, yeah unless a person's a parent of someone who's Autistic or are Autistic themselves and realise what their parents had to go through, the layman will never understand such stress.
I'm on the spectrum, and my best friend who's also a coworker at the place I have piano residency at has an Autistic son. I see how often she quickly burns out. Then when she's burnt out, she becomes snippy and bossy with me to try her best to keep me on the right path (she's been my guardian angel in the wake of my parents' passings).
Honestly I wouldn't be where I am today without my parents or her. 😢
Yeah, Michael, if you ever want to chat with someone about raising Autistic children, even if just to hear about my personal experiences in context to what you're going through, or to ask questions and whatnot, don't be afraid to reach out to me mate.
I've been moderating music forums for almost 20 years now, this is nothing compared to some of the stupid things I've done over the years. The one time I gave everyone on the Korg forums admin access by mistake was especially memorable.
Yes, that can be frustrating. Even though our son has special needs, I still don’t dish out any advice, because they all have different needs. If a parent was visibly distressed about it or they came to me asking, then of course I would offer some advice or hear them out.
Whaaaaaaat?!😩 Was that also just a simple case of fat thumbs? I’m sure that was an interesting day. I imagine a few delinquents changing random screen names to “kick me” or all kind of shananigans.
I think everyone who frequents forums should spend atleast a few weeks modding just to gain the perspective of the goings ons. I’d been a member here for many many years under various monickers before becoming a mod. Completely changed how I view things online.
Brilliant, thanks @Michael. The final irony…everything is there except @wim’s answer to my question, which is a blank post? @wim, did you delete it yourself intentionally? Anyone else got an answer for me? Cheers.
We were trying to give a new moderator admin rights if I remember correctly. There was no IT support for us to ask for help, so it was largely just figuring it out on our own. Luckily I caught it before more than a couple people figured it out, but it was still a bit of a heart stopper.
Yes, I realized I didn't have the answer to your main question, which is about how to easily copy p-locks to multiple steps. All I explained is that they are single events that cancel when the next trigger (note or p-lock) happens.
Whew yeah definitely glad you have the help. I’m on the spectrum myself so while I don’t have kids of my own I know what it’s like to be that kid. Seems like they’re in good hands
Once long time ago, when I did a major screw-up on a complicated project, I had the CEO tell me “don’t fret, pedro, it only happens to those that work”
That was a very understanding CEO.
Cool, thanks for clarifying @wim, really appreciate it. Cheers.

That means he very much valued your contribution 👌🏽.
Apparently, Michael still loves me too as I haven’t been purged.lol. Also appreciate the kind words from some you guys re: the goof. Been awhile, almost forgot how warm this place can be.
