  • Yea my AUFX bundle said 5.02 to complete and I own 2. I wonder if they are taking into account if you bought the app on sale?

Maybe. I didn't actually have caramel yet (had the rest) and I got the bundle for $2.02.

Well, looks like the Holderness package is finally working. I owned all apps but Caramel, and it only cost me $0.99 to "Complete My Bundle." That's Caramel for 80% off!!

Hmmm. I'm in the same boat, but it tells me that it costs $4.03 to complete the bundle. Could that be because I got some of the apps on sale?

  • I've got the same result in Portugal. Oh well. It's a good deal anyway.

  • I was in the same boat (everything but caramel) and it offered it to me for free with the bundle. So I'm now enjoying it very much (thanks @HoldernessMedia ). I wonder if it takes in count the price we paid for each app (and not the price it costs now) or something like that ? Anyway great idea these bundles !

$1.03 for Caramel?!? Hell yes I'll take that. Bundle completed!

    Thanks Chris!

  • The Holderness package shows the right price to me, but not the AUFX (I have 2 of 3 and shows 7,99 € from 10,77 €).

  • Chris, I just checked the bundle on iTunes and it says you owe me £3.27. I have paypal if this helps. ;)

Read the first post from @HoldernessMedia in this thread. :)

  • When the bundles come back again to my appstore, please developers let me know, thanx

I've got a "Sonosaurus Jams" bundle awaiting approval right now... will post again when it goes live, $10 for both ThumbJam and DrumJam (to start). Should be quite a bargain if you already have one to "complete" it, assuming they use the regular price to pro-rate it. But that is still a mystery to all!

Sonosaurus Jams is live - https://itunes.apple.com/app-bundle/id920160736?mt=8

  • They are not pro-rating for me. $9.99 for the bundle. I already own thumbjam.

  • Thank you everyone for your support and your patience, obviously the App Store has been overwhelmed and many different app bundles have been glitching since iOS 8 was released, but for the most part it is settled now and working well.

I spoke again with Apple Developer support today, they contacted me to make sure things were straightened out (nice of them to do!) and they are working to iron out the initial growing pains that are happening with app bundles.

For anyone who is still experiencing weirdness with any app bundles, I recommend just checking back every now and again until it displays correctly. If you purchased a bundle and were charged full price even though you already owned some of the apps in the bundle, you will either be automatically refunded by the app store within 24 hours, or if you are NOT refunded automatically, contact iTunes customer support and they will make it right, guaranteed.

One more thing, since there is still a lot of confusion surrounding the Complete My Bundle pricing with all the various app bundles out there.

I'll try to explain this as best as I can, hopefully I don't make things even more confusing, please read carefully as it's a bit of a head spin. Please understand that I'm not 100% certain about this, but I'm "pretty damn" sure, for whatever that's worth.

From what I can tell, I believe the "Complete My Bundle" pricing is based on what an individual person has already paid for the apps, but again, I'm not 100% sure yet.

So for example, if you bought three of my apps when they were on sale at $2.99 a piece, then the "Complete My Bundle" pricing would be:

    $12.99 (Current full bundle price)

    • 8.97 (3 apps previously purchased at $2.99 each)

Total = $4.02 (Complete My Bundle price)

    -

    or here's another possible scenario...

    $12.99 (Current full bundle price)

    • 10.97 (1 app purchased at normal price of $4.99, plus 2 apps on sale at $2.99 each)

Total = $2.02 (Complete My Bundle price)

This is why everyone's Complete My Bundle pricing is different, and in some cases it seems if you already paid full price for 3 or more of the apps at $4.99 each, you can complete the bundle for free!

For those of you still experiencing the glitch where it is not recognizing that you already have some of my apps, it will normally correct itself once you actually buy the bundle and will charge you the correct Complete My Bundle price difference. If you still get charged the full bundle price and the appstore does not automatically refund you within 24 hours, you can contact iTunes customer support and they will make it right, guaranteed.

  • Here's a question, do you have to press the complete my bundle button before it gives you an accurate pro-rated price? Could this explain @gmslayton's situation?

  • So, I own everything except Caramel and the store is offering me a price of $9.99. Thx, Apple! What a deal.

In some scenarios it seems so, but I can't say for sure.

  • Well, having purchased both TJ and DJ (:0), it just shows me the $9.99 total bundle price. I go to attempt purchase of the bundle, enter my credentials, and it says "You have already purchased this item. Would you like to buy it again?" That's a first. Anyway, my test is useless because I'm sure I promo-coded my own purchases, so it makes sense that it showed me the full price. What are other people seeing?

The same thing happened to me when I downloaded my bundle, but I actually got charged the full price, lol. I'm just giving it another day or two to see if they automatically correct it, if not then I'll ask itunes customer support for the refund.

  • When I go to purchase a bundle that has apps I own, it says:

"If you buy the App Bundle, you will have duplicates of these items."

I'm sure I could sort it out with iTunes support, but I'll just be patient.

  • The bundle deal worked fine for me in the Spain iTunes store for adding Caramel to my existing Holderness apps.

  • @HoldernessMedia said:

I read this quickly and thought it said, "If not then I'll ask iTunes customers to support the refund."

    :)

  • edited September 2014

Now works fine in my appstore too

Edit: Only works for Kymatica bundle for Algoriddim and HoldernessMedia doesnt work

  • In the first days of the new Bundles-offer, I did "complete my bundle" of the Holderness-Apps (thanks, by the way, I am very happy with your work..), even though still on ios7 (yes, not on iTunes, but with the iPad)! Funny, it doesn't work anymore now, but with these and some Graphicapps it did work seemingly, the Apps are still here, and the offers obviously tempted me badly...in the best way.

  • Apple has a page for "featured" bundles, but does anyone know if there is a way to search across all the bundles in the app store?

Haha, definitely not how that works!

@Aphex - I would just check back now and then until it's straightened out and shows the Complete My Bundle option, still seems to be a little glitchy across some stores but overall working much better than Wednesday and Thursday.

    @animal - Thanks, glad you're enjoying my apps. :)

Not that I am aware of, but would be nice if Apple added this.
