Nice landscapes! My motto: Keep it simple to the essence.

  • This is quickly becoming my fav thread. Great work folks. Very inspiring. Don’t even want to single any out as they are all really really good.

I have a new iPhone 15, perhaps I need to learn how to use the amazing camera.

I do agree with the op. I’d prefer viewing one pic per post. That way each member has to post more to showcase all of their work thus keeping the thread high on the front page. There’s no inforceable rule so carry on with the mulitiples if ya like but selfishly agree single posts would be good for multiple reasons.

Consider watermarking your work also folks. Lots of thieves on these interwebs.

A picture a day, keep the doctor away :)

I don't watermark my photo's, and mostly publish in low res, so a poster would look terrible.

Indeed. Pictures are so inspiring and impactful.

Smart move re: low res. 👌🏽

Snapshot of my daughter and I years ago. I was 19 when she was born and I raised her alone for the most part. I got hitched when she was 16. This photo, with the construction of a skyscraper as backdrop, perfectly illustrates our relationship.

What an amazing journey. She’s 25 now, and quite the definition of a Sky Scraper 💪🏽

I took your advice and watermarked my photos. 👍

  • Not sure if my advice is as good as your photos @Luxthor but, consider transparent watermark somewhere that cropping it out would ruin the photo. As it stands, one could remove your marks and not lose any composition.

At any rate, great snaps folks. Don’t let my paranoia ruin the sharing. Most amateurs probably don’t even care who downloads or uses their photos.

No worries, you can’t spoil all that goodness here. I also started one long post to express my feelings and experience with everything I like, but it is mission impossible. Everything is fantastic, this thread is an instant hit! 🤩

    Goonies!

    Reflections in melting ice.

Personally I never bother with watermarks, I have the original RAW files if I ever need to prove copyright. And the odds of someone stealing photos is on par with them stealing my music, zero to none.

Old enough to know and love the reference. My first thought was Targaryen. Feel like a Dragon could fly out at any moment. Dope shot.

Indeed. From that perspective, it may even be good if someone were to steal them.

My perspective is sprinkled with trauma. I went through some issues due to work I uploaded here years ago. You’ve been around so you may remember my old gamechangier sn WillieNegus or MaxJules. I posted a lot back in the early days of ABF before the Capn mod version nobody likes. You probably also know a lot about that being a vet mod yourself.

Wasn’t that I uploaded it here but that someone took it and used it elsewhere. When the label I was signed to at the time became aware, they sued me. It sucked.

But you’re right, the chances of that happening is very slim. Unfortunately, I have extraordinarily good and bad luck so if chances are 1/1000000 it’ll happen…mine as well guarantee it happens to me.smh

Wild flix. Obviously, you were there. Makes me wonder, were you a combat photographer, a soldier with great cam skills or both? Or, are all combat photographers both?🤔

I was a Combat Photog, and no not all combat photogs are both but every branch of the military have their own photogs as well, Image Technicians, Combat Camera etc

  • I had no idea that was even a job in the military, interesting!

That’s it. Banning myself from the thread for derailing.

Hehe, yes it is on earth. This is the Aletsch Glacier I have shot from an helicopter just above the Jungfrau mountain.

It's breathtaking, especially because it’s in the middle of Europe. I expected Antarctica, or the North Pole at least. 🥶😂
