Here's one from ancient history. South Minneapolis 1969, I was a photography student in art school then.

    Great Images! These are time-capsules.

  • These are from a very old gas plant that has been shuttered for years, great place to shoot

  • Wow. I don’t wanna take up valuable space by tagging everyone or quoting a bunch of pictures so I’ll just say here: these are all fantastic. Such a talented group of people on this forum.

Yeah, these are sick. I like those last two from @Identor and @Syn a lot, but they are all inspiring.

Wild flix. Obviously, you were there. Makes me wonder, were you a combat photographer, a soldier with great cam skills or both? Or, are all combat photographers both?🤔

I was a Combat Photog, and no not all combat photogs are both but every branch of the military have their own photogs as well, Image Technicians, Combat Camera etc

Thanks. Very interesting. Clearly, you were good at your job.

    Thank you very much !!

I have a new iPhone 15, perhaps I need to learn how to use the amazing camera.

The new iPhones are pretty sweet as cameras. A couple of the photos I’ve posted already in this thread were done with just the iPhone 14 Pro. You really can’t fault the hardware anymore if you can’t get good photos. Especially if you shoot RAW.

My usual camera is a Sony A7IV with either a Sony 20-70 F4, or Sigma 100-400 DG DN lens. Sometimes a 40 F2.5G.

When I was in Afghanistan, I met a photojournalist that only used his phone, did great work. The phones today are crazy good.

I was a Canon shooter for years but Nikon convinced me to drop Canon and use their cameras and glass, Im glad they did .

Thank you! I don't know anyone else into photography and I don’t do social media, so it’s nice to know I’m not totally off the mark with my ideas.

I like your style a lot, the skyscapes and landscape photos are right up my alley.

  • I get the most fun to hit the street and shoot people:

  • I take mostly family snapshots but won’t post those here. I love to capture skies

It’s nice to see everyone’s work.

  • A few of the amazing landscapes in Afghanistan

  • Wouldn’t call it my best work. Just an impression of some old work I had on hand.
