Was going to say Quantum but it’s not AUv3. You can run it as IAA in AUM though.

Yeah, I really like that one.

If you like that style of sequencer, check out Midi Dreams (and Midi Drums)

    https://apps.apple.com/us/app/mididreams/id1553799788

Yep, it’s unique .. and MidiSteps… The Key/Scale transposer is precious..
And a new Riffer is pending…

Oh AudioModern is making a Riffer part 2?? 😯

Yep… they said it’s in beta and it is supposed to be the bomb… v3, Right?

Ooooo man 🤩 Riffer and Chordjam are 2 of my go to midi apps so I’m stoked about this. Thanks for updating us. Is there an ETA for release?

Its been months in Beta.. no word on release..yet..

Hopefully that means it’ll be a super stable release 🤞 thanks!

Drambo ..it’s all you will really need.

Would be nice to get more step editors options on the panel.. Reset (return to first step) would be a nice addition… Drambo can return to any ‘programmed’ step, but is so hard to do on the fly…
Just wish there was a way to simulate Art Kerns MidiSTEPs… with Thesys performances option (Loop etc.)

The midi import sets Drambo apart from the rest.. Resequencing imported midi..

If you use the sequencer module and drive the position with e.g. a graphic envelope, you could put in a button to manually reset it.

Yes that’s an idea, and to do it on the main sequencer would probably to set a scene condition on every step followed by Jump. That way selecting a scene from the scene slider would jump the sequencer on the fly.

  • Kinda like this

Numerology is desktop Mac only, and nothing i'm aware of comes close.

hmm, but i must admit that Drambo + Cykle combo is pretty much there.

Thanks.. I just need to familiarize myself more with the modules.. fantastic..

  • @all : WoodSynth has a new sequencer (since v3.x) with lot's of features. And WoodStepper as well ...

Awesome, looking forward to diving in. Woodstepper is one of my favorites.

Need to downsize for a few months and won’t be using any hardware. I usually use a Sequentix Cirklon as my main sequencer (MIDI, CV, USB…). Need something in iOS to hold me over for awhile.

    I already have a bunch:

    Drambo
    MiRack
    Riffer
    Cykle
    Thesys
    OODA
    Step Bud, Melody Bud, etc..
    Rozeta
    Probably more I’m forgetting.

Not entirely happy with any of these. While fun, they’re rather basic TBH. Or the the interface is crazy (Thesys).
I’m looking for a more comprehensive solution, along the lines of Five12 Numerology. Would like to run it inside of AUM if possible.

What am I missing? If anything? Or am I destined to use a laptop?

    Cheers

    Strokes

  • miRack has lots of modules for sequencing with, when the new faceplate module arrives (not sure when) it will be better to create more playable UIs from the bigger patches too :)

I can also recommend Euclidean by 4pockets, which recently had a good update with chase mode and glitch probability.

Maybe we should be throwing a question back to you and asking what you think is missing from your current sequencers. What is it that you want to do that they can’t achieve?

(But I’ll also ask if you have looked at any of the Sugar Bytes apps?)
