I already have Dials, which is highly recommended btw, so in case you are interested in this, consider Dials.
I am usually not a fan of skeuomorphic user interfaces. These AudioThing / Hainbach plugins are the exception. These designs remind me of times gone by: Bakelite knobs, switches that give a juicy “clack!” and the smell of colophonium flux in the air.
So I’m not sure if I will ever make regular use of this compressor, but I had to get it.
“Wires” is still my favourite. Not just because of the sound, but there is history.
I’m sure the compressor is nice, but I really wanted that Ligeti button.
+1 for the Ligetti button!
According to Forbes Magazine, China is the second country with the most billionaires (539) after the USA (735). If that's not capitalism, what is it?
It’s true, these are the two available life choices.
Organized crime?
Yeah - it's the good life Commie style... until the party decides to put you in jail.
It's happened to quite a few billionaires. Must come as a bit of a shock when the feds appear with a warrant on your gold-plated doorstep.

No wonder the wealthy in high tax / low freedom countries are so eager to leave.
Wait a minute, I thought this was a thread about sweaters
You want to go back in time and play around with that weird stuff in your parents / grandparents basement. Me too
I am just reading this now. On Sunday the 19th while this was going on, I had a major loss of emotional regulation and self-control. I was theorizing that it was Covid-induced, because I have all the symptoms and am quite ill.
But a mass deregulation? Hmm.
Just to be clear, that comment was totally a joke. I wasn't being serious at all.
Oh man, I'm sorry to hear you're ill. I hope you recover quickly.
Yeah I totally get you man. I’m still slightly unregulated but fired up with universal love. I like the bliss part, but I kind of need that regulation too.
What do y’all use on your vocals usually? Any compressors or voice-specific apps you recommend? This one looks interesting for the price, but I’m not sure if I don’t already have things that would work
I can’t comment on this specific app, but as far as I can see it’s a stripped down version of Dials, and I consider Dials a special sauce. And I realize that’s a bit of a vague answer, but somehow I use Dials a lot in my tracks. It is one of my most used Audiothing plugins.
A bit late to reply, but for vocals an LA2 emulation would be my choice. I use the one in Mixbox but there is also one in Logic, I prefer the Mixbox one as it sounds a bit smoother to me.
Bonus points for anyone that knows the frequency of AC in the UK.
