  • Still working my way thru all the SM2:presets,only 500 hundred or so to go..lol

Seriously its a great synth you wont go far wrong with it.Your main problem will be working your way thru the vast amount of sounds-which aint really the worst problem to have.

SM3? Possibly i’ll get it in time but ive still barely scratched the surface of SM2.

I’m most likely gonna by SM3 but it’s not gonna be an insta-buy. Gonna wait to hear everyone’s thoughts and reviews first to make sure there no showstopping bugs.

After you have heard everyone’s thoughts and read their reviews, I will then wait to hear your thoughts and read your review before I decide 😅

Hahaha well be sure you share your opinions so the next guy in line can buy it 😆

Is there even an ETA for SM3 on iOS?

KV331 have been totally honest throughout the years, and I respect them for that. The money comes from their desktop versions, period. iOS is a lower priority, but hopefully that will change. SM3 desktop is coming along well as I follow their different social media accounts, and is due to be released in the first half of 2024 from what I understand. After that, a port of it is planned for iOS.

Based in Turkey, KV331 is a small venture and consists of Bulent who is lead on SM3 desktop, and his brother Levent who is in charge of the iOS or mobile side. They also have some team members. They are a nice bunch of people after having been in touch with them during the years!

Cool, thanks! Most likely seems like year end next year for iOS then if the port is coming AFTER the desktop. Oh well, I can wait. SM2 is great.

Isn’t that so that one of the brothers (Bülent) lives in north America and Levent lives in Turkey?

Whatever, this guys are smart and very clever!

  • One of the best features of SM2 is the ability to copy complete fx/filter/envelope/oscillator/modulator settings and paste them into a different preset, so fast and easy, also selecting any preset then scroll through the many different wave tables and samples - it’s that simple to create thousands of new presets. It’s strange how you can purchase a preset pack, go through them and you are pleased with the majority of them, but if you tweak existing presets looking for a particular sound, most of the time you dismiss what you have just created in your constant search for the “right sound”, and without realising it - you have probably come up with presets that a fresh pair of ears would pay for simply because they are new! I save the majority of tweaked presets into a named bank, when I go back to them at a later date I am amazed at what I could have easily discarded!

Great idea! Never thought of that.

  • Has something changed with the Player? It’s not showing up in Logic anymore and a couple of old tracks I used it on can’t find it.
