If something weird happens again, posting a screenshot of your mixer and Loopy’s system settings can be helpful.
Thanks! Yeah, I'm wrapping my head! I deleted all the donuts but thencircles are still there and thr mini squares too! Trying to read the manual as I go too. Lol
.here's what I've done so far:
Addes a button named it Scene 1 and another button next to it called orange. Now, I'm trying to figure out how I add the effects to that orange block in order to have the scene button activate them or disable any of the effects.
This is deep stuff man!!! Lol
I think I'm getting somewhere lol
I forgot to mention that the Xtone Pro has six modo switches, but it also has a feature that allows me to long press a switch and go into another bank of 6 switches. I think it has total 3 banks totaling 18 slots to record Mido commands to send to Loopy Pro.
I'm thinking for now I wanna use the first 4 in Bank A to switch scenes and the other 2 switches in Bank A to switch pages.
Bank B I can turn into "Stomp Mode" where I can enable/disable effect pedals in Loopy Pro as needed in realtime!! Wow, I'm going deep into the stuff man!!!
It's good to be thinking about how the foot switches will be allocated, but you also need to get the basics of assigning actions to the scene buttons to enable/disable FX and select presets. You can always swap switch mappings around to different widgets but it's handy to get the widgets working first.
It looks like you're making great progress. 👍🏼
@Tones4Christ : you will be adding actions to the buttons to turn effects on and off and set parameters and select presets.
While in edit mode, tap on a button widget and you will see a list of the available actions. Read through that last to see what is available. You will find them documented in the manual.
Does this look right?
So the first four columns I placed whatever apps I want enabled. These will correspond to each scene. So orange scene which will be scene 1 and
will have everything enabled except THU & Blackhole, same as Scene 2. (but I need to learn how to have scene 3 & 4 trigger a different Preset within Tonex.
Scene 3 will be my ambient Scene. And scene 4 my full blown Leads scene!
Please review screen shot and let me know if it makes sense.
I noticed that I accidentally programmed scene 1 to disable or enable Rack Delay. I pressed it and the delay effect turned off. But how do I do it where only one scene is active at any one time?
Are you planning on recording clips? Colors are for organizing clips and applying effects to the clips. You probably want to use buses instead , one bus for each effect chain. You would then set up actions or widgets to switch between buses.
Almost there!!!
How can I have scene 1 trigger the buttons to the right of it. Each button has different color to show me if active or disabled; i also tested each button and they do enable or disable each effect individually. But I want say Scene 1 button enable or disable them all at once. Can't figure it out. Or maybe I'm thinking this wrong. Scene 1 should trigger all the buttons to the right of it. Hope it makes sense.
Tap on a scene button in edit mode. It brings up a list of actions. The trigger widget action is used to target other widgets (buttons, sliders, whatever), you can add actions to the scene button to trigger the other buttons.
I tried that just now but it only let's me trigger one button not the whole group of buttons next to it. I'm pulling whatever little hair I got left
A few things,
You can add as many actions as you want. Each trigger widget action has one target.
Upon further think, your scene button should enable/disable the effects directly. Those buttons' will be updated to match.
Rather than try to explain, I'll post a quick video that I hope will help you get oriented. I shoild have it up in a few minutes.
@Tones4Christ : does this help?
Oh wow! That would be so helpful
I'm at my Witts end on this one! I keep looking and thinking but no go.
Ii thougt maybe each effect in the scene should be same color as Scene button? Maybe I'm over thinking it.
Btw, while your initial setup may take some time. It should be pretty quick to copy/paste and edit.
That would rock! Yeah, I hope I get there. Just that it would be cool to be able to have each effect have a different color so I can have a visual what is on or off as my pedalboard Xtone Pro doesn't provide that. It just shows which switch is selected but doesn't shoe whether effect Is enabled or disabled.

Oops. I didn't see t> @Tones4Christ said:
The button colors have nothing to do with color groups. The mixer's color groups are exclusively related to clips/loops.
You might want to watch some of the many available tutorial videos to get oriented.
Oh I see. That's good to know. I'll look up some vids. Any links to helpful ones you've used?
Found a video on YouTube where Michael talks about the 8x8 template with scenes! Oh wow!! That one got me going!
I'm at a point where when I tap a scene, it toggles the buttons corresponding to each effects. Except for the amp which of course I want on or enabled at all times. Lol!!
So far so good!!
The problem with triggering buttons that toggle is that you aren’t guaranteed to get the state you want. For example, if you press a scene button twice in a row, everything flips states.
Since you want particular states, imo, you will be better off having the scene button set the parameters and effect states directly in the scene’s actions.
Yeah, I noticed that! But how can a scene button change parameters at once for more than a single button?
Did you watch the video I posted for you?
The scene buttons in the video manipulation the widgets, they turn the effects on and and off directly. The buttons will automatically update to reflect the actions.
No, I didn't find a link to it... can you repost thr link please? I appreciate you! Thanks!
It is in the thread a few posts up in a message posted a few minutes after I said that I would post a video.

Here are some pictures that illustrate what I show in the video. There are other ways to accomplish what you want, but I think this approach is the most straightforward. You can use copy/paste liberally to speed setup.
There are scene buttons that select the effect chain for the scene and then turn on/off effects in that chain -- and set the tempo.
There are buttons to turn effects off and on and a slider linked to the delay time. You can use them to directly interact with your effects but the scene buttons don't interact with the widgets (other than the radio buttons for the effects chain).
When you change the scene, the buttons automatically will be updated by Loopy to reflect the current settings.
Overview
Here is what is inside the buttons that interact with the effects. For this use case, each of those buttons has just one action, but they could do more if you wanted.
THE SCENE BUTTONS
The scene buttons are set up with actions to directly interact with the effects rather than to manipulate the widgets
