@SevenSystems great Hold+ mode! (which I’m sure will find its way into Xequence keys!)
I’ve noticed that in two rows keyboard, Hold+ works independently between each row. I actually like that but maybe it would be best to make it configurable?
Hold is a great addition! Curious about this NTS1 instrument. Anyone have the NTS1 that’s tried it? Might have to break mine back out.
Hey, thanks. This has been brought up during the beta as well, and I agree it would be nice to have both modes. I also don't want to clutter the UI with loads more toggles though, so I'm wondering -- is this something that you would want to frequently switch while "performing", or rather a "habit" that would best sit as a toggle on the "..." (settings) screen? (I tend to think (and hope 😉) the latter)
I was very pleasantly surprised to find one row sustaining while the other wasn’t sustaining. It seems a logical way to do melody over chords to sketch things out. Very happy with this update 😀
Exactly, or the bottom keyboard for bass and upper for melody. Glad to hear you're happy enough.
Yes exactly! I was thinking of something in the settings as well for the same reason (to maintain a clean interface)
Sweet update @SevenSystems I’d love to see some of this keyboard updates on the Xequence AU keys as well. Cheers!
Will see what I can do!
+2
Except, Xequence AU Pads as well.
If it weren’t for Xeq AU Pads, my Drambo Template wouldn’t even be possible. I love it, but I often pine for a visible Hold toggle on the pads.
Update out soon!
I've also noticed a bug where when keys on BOTH keyboards are pressed simultaneously in Hold+ mode, sometimes the already pressed keys wouldn't be properly released... will be fixed too!
Ooooh! This is so elegant!! Thank you!
Will an update to Xequence Keys follow too?
Thank you!
Yes I'll try my best to push out a Xequence Keys update shortly!
Thank you so much! 👍 And don't forget to get some rest too! 😉
Update is approved and available!
Just tested it and loved it! So cool! Thank you
Just a heads up: Xequence AU | Keys has just been updated with the new Hold and Hold+ modes, game changer! 🎆 Happy New Year!
No way! Thank you 🙏 happy new year 🎊
Happy New Year @SevenSystems! I love this update. Great work.
I love it! Just performed some ambient with it, it's perfect!! Thank you so much!
Yep, very glad u finally added this, thanks! And so cool with the hold+ mode. I've updated the description on the spoken walkthrough I did on Xequence AU Keys to mention that it now has these hold features ♥
Thanks everyone, glad you like it. Who knows, maybe we can do a Kickstarter for adding MPE support to the keyboard as well! I'd be in for $500 🤑
Sounds like a plan!
Definitely.
Sweet! It’s out on the Xequence AU keys. The hold + is dope, especially for running arps and sequencing with held notes or chords that switch when next chord is pressed. Like in Korg gadget, where you can hold a chord for an arp, then switch the held chord.
Thanks @SevenSystems great stuff, cheers!
You're welcome! Yeah Hold+ was just a spontaneous idea I had when drunk on cider, but nice to know it's actually useful 😜
A little bit of an oddity. In Loopy Pro I tried to search for the midi plugin by typing Xeq ... nothing showed up. I finally found it listed as " | Keys". I don't think that used to be the case, but I'm probably wrong. "| Pads" is the same and that hasn't been updated, so I'm guessing it was that way all along but I hadn't noticed. Anyway, it makes it real hard to find in that massive collection of icons.
Works in AUM:
@Michael, probably tripping on the '|' or something? Or maybe somehow heuristically grouping apps by 'same characters at the beginning'?
Oops! Looking into it today
