    😄

  • The last update unfortunately introduced a bug in Xequence AU | Keys when using the Key Position / Slide modes on the 'Pitch Bend' controller.

I've already fixed this, however it is impossible to submit the update to Apple because of some cryptic error message from App Store Connect.

So hang tight until Apple get their act together!

  • If you keep breaking the App Store, Apples going to start dinging your developer account.

  • @SevenSystems is it possible to highlight a scale in the Pianoroll without folding the non-scale keys? (to be able to do draw in chromatic walks leaving the scale for instance)?

Not currently, but I agree it would be good to have.

As a workaround, you could create another track in the arranger where you create a clip and draw in long notes that represent your scale, and then use the "Show in Background" settings in the pianoroll editor to show those notes as "ghosts":

😉 I've been trying once daily for the past few days to submit the update, with completely zero changes on my side. Just now, it finally uploaded successfully.

Again, with ZERO changes. Everytime the cryptic error message (something totally internal to Apple which has zero to do with Xcode or Objective-C or whatever) from App Store Connect appeared, I checked Apple's "System Status" pages (both "normal" and "Developer") -- ALL GREEN.

I get it, people make mistakes. But an important portal for developers to submit important updates being unavailable for days, with the only explanation a cryptic error message, with all "System status" pages showing all-green, is just not acceptable.

BTW: I'm firmly under the impression that ALL such "System Status" pages, no matter which company, are just static HTML pages made by the CEO's teenage son. I mean, I've NEVER seen ANYTHING OTHER than "All Green" whenever there were problems anywhere 😂

On that angle, I think all apps should have an internal report feature: crash report, feature request, general feedback. Having to go to an external website to interact (at best) or add a public comment (worst) on the app store is an obvious problem i think.

  • @SevenSystems do you think the following would be a possible roadmap candidate: the possibility to load (the MIDI content) of an als (Ableton Live) file in Xequence (by importing an als file)?

Hi. Considering that ALS is a proprietary and undocumented format, it would probably be a huge undertaking to try to read these and it's thus not that likely.

Have you had any success using MIDI files to export from Ableton Live and import to Xequence?

  • there is pythonista script floating somewhere that converts an ALS file to MIDI file, so it's not that trivial in my knowledge

The whole thread is probably worth reading..

  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • @SevenSystems : take a look at the ALS to midi python script noted above. If you integrated that functionality, Xequence 2 would be the only iOS app that could do it …some might get the app just to be able to get the midi out of their ALS exports.

    I would if I didn’t have it already. :)

  • @tja @espiegel123 and others: thanks for the info, added to the roadmap.

  • I use that Pythonista script all the time with Groovebox App. Thanks @MrBlaschke !

ALS direct to MIDI in Xequence 2 would be awesome!
