If I’m not mistaken @Coloobar play is just the control, the midi side of it.

Actually Play is just the playing part of it, the audio, but can be the full app with IAP. Control is just the midi part of it but can be full app with IAP.

I do have both. And I really like both. If your into chords or songwriting with chords I highly recommend Scaler 2.

Tonality is great and packed with so much, but Scaler 2 shines when you want to sequence chords and/or write chord based songs. Obviously there’s lots of chord options, chord suggestions/recommendations, multiple chord patterns, chaining multiple patterns for a song, and a plethora of styles to sequence the chord playing. S2 is a whole chord progression/songwriting workstation really, and it’s great to use in standalone or as an AU for midi out. Has audio as well. It has a ton of features. If you like to work with chords, I highly recommend it.

Definitely check a vid or 2 on YouTube, just to be sure it’s for you. the desktop version is basically the same, so any video will work. It’ll give you a much better idea of all the features.

It is a bit larger, like 1GB I think, and only for iPad, but if that’s no concern then take advantage of the sale. Cheers mate.

I love @cem_olcay apps in general, but Wasn’t sure about this until I just watched Doug’s video, and now… I got to get it. It’s pretty dang cool, and not what I thought it would be. Each emoji shows the mood or feeling of the chord, it changes to recommend your next chord, or it can stay the same, has several chord playing options ie strum & offset, and progression styles ie jazz, ambient, etc…

It’s almost like a mini scaler 2 based on emojis. Obviously not quite as deep but it has a lot of cool features to get some nice chord progressions going.

  • Has anyone heard when Klevgrand Revolv is coming to IOS? I contacted them a few weeks ago and they said soon.

Haven't used Knock but do use Punchlab regularly and would highly recommend it. Reliable and does it's job well. Has a wide range of scope for subtle usage through to harder tones.
