    If you say so, but it really wasn’t helpful either to the asker or the company involved. Just unnecessary trying to be clever, when it was really nothing of the sort. Honestly man, I can’t understand you at all.

    Thanks yall. the support, and assistance is much appreciated. I think the worst is over, so hopefully back to normal in a few days. But still… the thread calls to me like the sound of a faint repeating voice while coming out of a surreal dream….. Post, Sales, Post, Sales…. lol. JK.

    I think it’s a double edged sword.

    Knowing the date provides the buyer a chance to budget, maybe wait until pay day, or at the very least make a decision based on time and money.

    Most sales in stores, on products and such have an end date (Although that line seems to be extended and blurred more often these days, ie. Cyber Monday is now a week) Most Coupons, rewards, etc… all have expiration dates.

    On the other hand not knowing the end date, as you mentioned does provide a sense of immediacy for the buyer to act, Which can be an effective strategy.

    I understand both sides of the coin and I’m ok with either practice. I just personally like to know, So I can plan accordingly.

    I have noticed that in the desktop world, it’s not unusual for devs to announce an end date for the sale. It does let me deliberate longer.

    Not announcing the end date feels like a bit more of a high pressure sales tactic as it increases FOMO inside me lol
