And a quick check on the desktop App Store informs me that Riffler as I know it no longer exists, only a new version of the software called "Riffler Flow"... I guess the older version was abandoned?

I can still see it - it hasn’t been abandoned at all!

  • Weird.

Maybe a restart will get it to show up, or if possible go to the most recent iOS update.

Just humor me a second… Did you search the apps on your device, maybe you accidentally hid the app or removed it from Home Screen. You can either swipe past your last used page of apps and search, or if you Swipe Down from 3/4 of the way up the screen on any main device page you will get an app search screen, with some recently used apps. See if it comes up.

Your link opens it on desktop and it now informs me that it's no longer supported as a desktop AU app, which is very disappointing considering it previously worked.

As I mentioned, the version of Riffler I had purchased WAS an Audio Unit for macOS desktop and an AUv3 on iPadOS. It no longer functions as an Audio Unit on desktop.

Might one presume that the version due to arrive on July 1st is a desktop-only version and therefore a completely new app? Or is it an upgrade?

Because having had functionality and then losing that functionality sure makes me feel like a sucker for ever spending money on the app and I've had to move on to other solutions in the interim.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but Korg Gadget is 50% off at the moment.

I love your outrage. I don’t think that Riffler was ever advertised as “universal”. So you got an extra bonus that an iOS app worked for a while on your desktop device. But that isn’t what you had bought.

Now the dev is building a proper desktop app and you’re angry - even though the mobile app you paid for is still working on mobile, still being supported and still being updated (thus far for free).

It was compatible with both desktop and iPadOS and it lost that function. That's just a fact.
