Imaginando has added VS - Visual Synthesizer to the 10year anniversary party.

VS - Visual Synthesizer is 80% off down to $3.99, was $11.99, but usually $19.99

As always good looks @Poppadocrock! Stoked. Got VS and then checked out their other app LK and got that too with all the unlocks (cause hey why not) - I’ve had FRMS from for a while but didn’t realize Imaginando had all these other apps. I’ve seen VS before but spaced it was the same dev and spaced on some other projects for a while where visuals weren’t necessary for the moment.

Haven’t messed with VS yet, but it’s next for me to mess around with. Other than Nerd Synth and Axon 3 I’ve been really good this year not spending on apps since I have a few I still need to learn more so I don’t feel like I just threw away cash on apps I never used lol.

But I’ve realized that with iOS creating is super fun but has left me wanting to get some of my sketched out beats into Ableton to expand my horizons. Seems like these couple of apps will round out what I’ve wanted to do musically since I started this hobby a few years ago.

Side note for anyone who might search this - The set up for LK for Ableton Live & MIDI on iOS to work with on Mac was super simple, get to the set up page on Imaginandos site, follow the steps, download the driver, you’re good to go. I don’t know if anyone will ever need this info or if it’s super obvious and I just missed it, but yes it DOES work for Ableton Live Lite 12 as well. I couldn’t find anywhere where it explicitly said that if it would work for the Lite version of Ableton and then realized you can download the LK for free and try out all the different set ups to see if it works out.

    Cheers!

IAP's for Imaginando LK are on sale now. $2.99 CAD for the Matrix unlock and $0.99 each for the other modules.

    As with yesterday's sales

    Matrix unlock is $1.99 USD

    All others are also $0.99

Uh, hoping BAM and the VS iap’s come next! 😛

Already got BAM iOS but the desktop version will be very temping if it goes on sale

The Imaginando VS iap’s are on sale now! :-D Love this app but am still totally lost making stuff from scratch, so they are definitely worth it! Beautiful stuff!

It's also well worth it for those who want to make stuff from scratch, as each IAP unlocks a new bank of layer materials, which in this app are essentially the visual equivalent of waveforms or samples. I just got VS and the IAPs and I'm loving the concept of creating and manipulating visuals with synthesizer parameters that I'm familiar with, I highly recommend it at this price.

The desktop sale has started already.

Gotta wait for the iPad sale now. Though I still haven't decided whether I need it lol.

  • Can BAM be used inside AUM/Apematrix or is it only standalone with its own auv3 hosting features?

Yes, BAM can be loaded as an Audio Unit into AUM (and presumably Apematrix). And that is also the case for the desktop version (on macOS anyway).

For anyone looking at the IAP, it showed as 14.99 for me in BAM, but charged the sale price correctly. Just one Aussie's experience.

Same. Hopefully an update comes through and fixes it at some point.

  • It appears from the app store descripton that it can host auv3 plugins. It can also function as s plug in? No offense, but I'm skeptical, but optimistic.

On that topic, I know Loopy Pro can do that, as can a number of Amazing Noises apps. Can't think of many others, someone help me out. I'll buy BAM for sure then, I dig that flexibility

The sale has arrived, it's $9

  • So, for owners of both, is there anything Bam can do which Drambo can’t? Is it just a slightly different workflow?

I have all the other Imaginando apps and think they’re all brilliant but I’m really on the fence regarding Bam and whether i actually need it. I suspect not if I’m completely honest with myself but maybe I’m missing something?

Slightly off topic but related. Is there any advantage to getting the desktop version of VS as well (over the IOS version which I already own)? Anyone have both and care to comment? Fanks!
