  • Hadn’t tried a WIMS before, and wasn’t big on classic effects, but wow… Bought them both. Don’t let the stock Juce theme fool you — Woodman’s Maple Syrup truly is Immaculate.

    Dagger Synth

I already have Bleass Monolit, Moog D, Viking Synth and some many others (Sunrise, Zeeon, Animoog, etc.... )

Do i need it? GAS is calling me with this one

To be honest, you probably do need it. The sound is really beastly, in the best possible way, Beep Street really worked some magic on this one.

If the Gavinskinator says I need it, I need it.

Update for @raimundoarriagada and others on the fence:
Fiddling with it for 20min, it does sound great, more brooding/throaty compared to more boisterous/excitable Sunrizer or Zeeon. Far fewer tweakable parameters in comparison, which shows off its more deliberate/PnP nature. I cannot get it to sound quite like an Arturia Brute series, so YMMV on the Steiner Parker filter (may just be the lack of a “Brute Factor” feedback knob here). Overall, $5 for a good core tone and access to circuit-modeled SP filter hits the spot, if you promise you won’t want for something more complex.

Personally I like Zeeon more, but then it is higher priced and I am more of a tweak-head. I’m sure I’ll like it more once I start to build a track with it.

What’s my endorsement… chopped liver. lol. Totally joking, that joke was basically put on a platter for me, lol. Cheers.

Has anyone generated a beat with it yet?

Tip: Pairing it with Blackhole or other quality delay/reverb really opens up the sound and deep character.

The latest version of Holon now includes support for Apple Watch (e.g. for syncing to heart rate), the IAP has been removed for the time being so it’s all free.

    Awesome, thanks for mentioning. Cheers!

Hey I have a video that shows this in use: https://youtu.be/1rTMdDrO5YM - you can now send miRack patches to Holon and control them with movement and location data, the video shows a few such presets (10 are included in the app).

Alas, I believe this is only supported in the payware Holon.ist app. (Correct me if I’m wrong)

If you have miRack installed, you could use the Holonic template included with miRack and send your edited patch to anyone with the Holon app. Apple Watch support has been reinstated in Holon and the IAP dropped.

I believe there are far better “mastering” apps by now.

    Music/Education

Tonality is Free right now. In app purchases are tips.

The app is already a no-brainer at $7.99 and I’m envious for anyone that can score this for free! (Though I’m grateful to have helped support a developer financially and I’m happy to especially for an app that’s so well thought out and being supported still)

Sorry if this was posted already I didn’t see it if it was.

It looks like this is a yearly thing from what I can tell. Cheers to that! One of the most, if not the most helpful app for music education. @Poppadocrock got me on it earlier this year or last and I’m a huge fan.

    Hey sorry, I misunderstood.

You’re right, heart rate to Ableton Link requires Holonist since Link has to be enabled manually and there’s no such setting in Holon at the moment.

I think we used to have that a few years ago but Holon was never meant for music production so we removed some things.
