  • Prism is not available in the German App Store — 2025.04.29 @A_Mortal_Mage

  • Not available in Sweden either...looks like it's the dreaded EU issue...

  • Not in Spain also 😢

  • My memories might be blurred, yet I recall Prism to be present before (at least for the German App Store).

  • Prism not available in the French app store (2025.05.24) @A_Mortal_Mage

I contacted @A_Mortal_Mage via Youtube. This is what he told me :

  • Many thanks Pierre118 ! :)

  • Hi, Prism is my favorit iOS sequencer. At the Moment I have some Problems With mute patterns in the Song mode (?). How can I switch the mute off?

Mutes are set on the track page select the track and you will see the M and S buttons. If your referring to Mute Groups I don't know what they are or how to use them yet.

  • Thanks. S.1 is mute off and S.2 is mute on. Without the song Mode i can Switch patterns manually. How can i bring my patterns togheter in Song Mode?

    @hacked_to_pieces

Mute Groups allow you to get more mileage out of a single Scene .. Each Scene in Prism can have up to 8 different mute groups; in other words, you can have 8 different mute variations for each Scene.

    Creating Mute Groups:

    • Go to the Track Select page, press shift and select what track(s) you want to mute (muted tracks will be greyed out so it’s easy to tell what’s muted and what isn’t).
    • The tracks that you select to mute will automatically be saved to the first mute group
    • Once you have your first mute group set up, you can go to the ‘Pattern / Scene Keypad’ press Mute, select an empty Mute Group (- -) and repeat the above step … rinse and repeat until you have all of your different mute groups created for that Scene

For example, if you have a project with 4 tracks, you can use a single Scene (S) and multiple Mute (M) groups to build up a song or part of a song without burning a bunch of scenes to do so. You could have S.1 M.1 play just track 1 by muting all the other tracks. Then, if you want to bring in the other instruments one at a time to build up your song, you can make new mute groups to do so .. that could look something like this:

    • S.1 M.1 - Mute tracks 2, 3, 4 (only track 1 plays)
    • S.1 M.2 - Mute tracks 1, 3 (2 & 4 play)
    • S.1 M.3 - Mute tracks 1, 2, 3 (4 plays)
    • S.1 M.4 - No tracks mute
    • S.1 M.5 - Mute tracks 3 (1, 2, 4 play)
    • Etc.

Once your Mute Groups are set up, there are different ways you can use them ..
    1. With transport is running, you can ‘play’ your Mute Groups live right from the keypad ..
    - Go to Pattern/Scene Keypad
    - Select ‘Mute’
    - Tap different Mute groups you e created to “play” them (i.e. activate them) while transport is running
    2. Add Scene/Mute combinations to Song Mode
    - Press ‘Song’
    - Select a Scene and Mute combination from the Pattern/Scene Keypad
    - Press the plus (+) sign in the song sequencer to add the Scene/Mute combo to sequencer
    - Repeat the scene/mute (+) process to build up your song/part
    - Turn song mode on, press play and listen to what you did.

@mikejohn thanks for the write up this clearly explains how to use the feature. I'm going to try Mute Groups next time I use Prism. Again thank you Prism is such great sequencer every time I use it there's some new discovery.

No worries .. happy to help. Prism is such a deep sequencer and very much worth exploring all it can do.

  • Thanks to all. I will check this.
Yes, you are Right … Prism is a very deep sequencer.

  • Update on availability in the EU app store from Discord:

,, Still working on it. I haven't had an address for the past few months as I'm backpacking and EU App store requires a publicly displayed personal address to sell an app. I'm getting a new lease soon and hope to get back into the EU market,,

  • Is there an update to the EU address problem?

  • Will this integrate as well with Launchkey mk 4?

Ah ok. Feel like there was an update recently, and I assumed it was in with that.
    Will wait patiently....
    Cheers @mikejohn !

  • Hey y'all,

I'm very excited to announce the latest update of Prism. What started as a few bug fixes a few months ago quickly snowballed into a massive heap of redesigns, new features, engine upgrades, and workflow optimizations. You should find an improved experience in every way.

Also as part of the update there's an actual manual in the works. I'm sorry it took so long.
    Prism Manual - v2.0

Finally, Prism's back in the EU! Thanks for your patience all my europeans friends while I sorted it out.

    Happy playing!

  • Looks super interesting, though I'm not super excited about the price hike xD. I'll keep an eye for a potential black friday sale!

    Me two.

  • Looking forward to this 👍

  • Since it wasn't available I didn't research what it does and would it fit my workflow.

But my God, the UI looks sooo beautiful, like a magical eye candy
