Stumbled across a Hilda preset pack for sale:
They are pretty great... Remind me of @childofthecorndog a little (pours some whisky on the ground)!

how do you install this ?
I’ve tried sharing the zip file : no dice…
I’ve tried uncompressing the archive, then selecting all of the preset files and sharing them : it only loads the 1st one Barbarian Lips…
is there any other way ?
Did something happen to @childofthecorndog ?
Yes, they went through a teleported with a bee, and look what happened.
He's stopped doing presets 😢
That's weird I just shared directly the zip from the download thingy Hilda was one of the first options and it loaded up fine
/ tries to pour from vodka bottle, stumbles and faceplants
Dude.
That’s sad news. Is there a source for this?
@sevenape No source? 🤷♂️
@childofthecorndog Can you confirm? 🥲
Wasn’t there a COTDC sale last week? The last pack was released a couple of months ago, too. Might be wrong but, no mention of retiring that I could see.
.
Thank you for sharing... These sounds were put together over the course of the last 6 months or so... I will be releasing a lot of sounds going forward after all the kind words coming from this debut preset pack...
I usually share from Dropbox right to Hilda "zipped/compressed" the bank would be added... I recently came across @Pxlhg Hilda pack the other day and at first I was trying to add unzipped from a Google Drive then from icloud but nothing then i tried Dropbox and worked fine... Outside of my ipad i dont know much about mac products... This is a link Hilda's manual on how add presets direct from @brambos I hope it helps a bit... If you have any more issues just let me know and I will see if i can find other ways to try

"You can re-import any preset by simply opening it with the Hilda app. Single presets have the file extension . hilda. But you can also import zip-files containing multiple presets (such as the backup files exported by Hilda)."
This is from the Hilda manual...
Thnx for the shoutout @sevenape 🙏 Nice sounds @Iwato_Hyena
@138389 yeah, i bailed on making new packs. Maybe there’ll be an occasional one that happens by accident (like the recent Pigments ‘Kollage’ pack someone else mentioned), but I burnt out sinking so much time & headspace obsessing on sounds & gear & putting packs & promo together….Stopped having time &/or energy for writing & recording/finishing songs 😵💫
I have Drambo & Ableton ‘Kollage’ series packs that are like 90% cooked (& have been for a year or so!)… Those’ll prob get finished at some point but no plans for any others.
Big love to everyone that bought packs, supported & inspired via kind feedback, & folk who helped out on promo ( @thesoundtestroom @Gavinski & co) 🙏❤️🦧
So sad to hear that. You’re an exceptional and unique talent (I have everything you’ve made so far). Glad you’re ok and clear on what’s important to focus on for your own wellbeing. I wish you well and every happiness ♥️
This is direct from the @brambos Hilda Manual "Typically you can use Airdrop, save on the Files app, or use your
Dropbox, iCloud and email, among other options.
If you choose to export all presets, it will create a zip-file with all your presets.
Once finished, you can save this zip-file to any place you like.
You can re-import any preset by simply opening it with the Hilda app. Single
presets have the file extension .hilda. But you can also import zip-files containing
multiple presets (such as the backup files exported by Hilda).
Sometimes you need to tap the refresh button in the corner of the load dialog for
the newly added presets to show up. This button forces the Hilda plugin to scan for
newly added presets."
I just checked with Child of the Corndog, he has indeed 'retired', sadly. Maybe he himself will come in and

Pleasure brother, you do great stuff! Unfortunately our niche is so small that it can be super hard to get rewarded fairly for talent and effort. Wishing you good luck in your next phase!
Thank You @childofthecorndog @138389 I completely understand and I definitely do not consider myself a sound pack maker as much as I wish that was my profession... I work in audio and visual projects via https://iamyork.com/ these are actually sounds I made to be used in my own music eventually and/or possible professional or independent projects... I haven't recorded an album or even a song in close to 20 years now sadly... I am in the process of changing that but all the sound architecture I have done over the last year has been gathering a bit of dust so I decided maybe I should share it with like minded individuals who hopefully will use it in their own creativity or even just to learn and enhance their projects...
Even after I release my album I plan on releasing all of the sounds I used to make it to the public...
Besides for adverts and commissioned projects I just love making music and sound designing... I don't see myself going on tour or playing any live shows in my future again but... anyways I am starting to ramble but just the video demo took almost a week to create and the sounds about 6 months or so, possibly longer so I can why anyone doing this fulltime would be a rough situation... But luckily I do have some sounds stockpiled that I'd like to share when I can...
Thank you everyone for appreciating the work that went into this... I told myself if no one took much notice of this initial patch release I probably would keep all of my future sounds inside the vault like a Disney Princess from the 80s... hahah... ok back to work editing sound on corporate tech adverts... Thanks again... Keep an eye out for more and I will post all of demos first here before releasing: https://www.youtube.com/c/CommonSenseMadeSimple feel free to stop by and subscribe... The channel's focus is mainly on experimental audio and visual experiences but all patch demos will also be there first as well...
Thank you @Gavinski coming from you that is a big deal as I am a fan of your work...
@Iwato_Hyena I checked out the pack yesterday, it’s lovely work and was much needed in Hilda.
There’s very little sound design competition here, just a handful at your level.
You should message @childofthecorndog direct and have a private conversation about expectations and the reality of the Dev/Sound Designer ‘support’ that is often declared here 😉
Welcome to the mad house and good luck fitting in here, it’s basically like an old people’s home for app junkies 😂😆
hahhah... i am definitely less concerned about the marketing and social media aspects of it all... If i didnt enjoy making the sounds so much or had a social life haha i dont think I would have to time to be involved in any of this... I don't want to sound too much like a geezer but at the height of my "art" career here in NYC... Social media and these types of forums were new and/or very rare... and as they evolved they actually made networking in similar fields very comfortable as I never was any good on the promotional side of it all... especially back when it all had to be done in person haha... Thank Odin for all the free toxin involved in those events haha... but i feel, not to get too off-topic, that social media in 2024 is more of an AI based algorithm to push ads and less how it was maybe 5-10 years ago when it actually was more to help people with similar interests find each other... Before I ramble on and on about topics that have little to do with all of this...
I'm just happy to be here and have a few people enjoy the sounds... I am definitely not here to compete with anyone ahah... Music and art etc is all about perspective mostly... Something i might love someone else might not... I feel its all about the process and the journey...
On that note keep an eye/ear out for my Ruismaker NOIR pack coming soon😁...
If all goes well and Im not overwhelmed at the lab i hopefully will have the video demo done by next week... As a big fan of the Moog DFAM i felt Noir is definitely a more advanced digital version just as Hilda I think was loosely based on Make Noise's O-Coast... another one of my favourite pieces of hardware...
Thanks again for the kind words... Have a great day or night...
Haha! The main competition here, as far as I’ve worked out, is not music related at all. It’s to tell people that you are buying an app, how much you love all apps, what apps you’ve got, albeit hardly use, and to pile on anyone who holds an opinion that the regime 🐑 here doesn’t agree with or can’t understand. Oh and to speak for Devs and pretend they’re part of the company because they once (a long, long time ago) had a job in some small way related to ancient development 😆
Look forward to the Noir pack! 😉
I do believe I can, but the actual question is how… I’ve also read the manual: nothing is said about the way a collection of presets can be opened or imported — in fact there aren’t such commands as open or import…
or could it be there’s an incompatibility between my operating system [iPadOS 17.2], and my version of Hilda [1.2.2], or even my machine [Pad Pro 11-inch 4th gen]?
Hmm... When i get out of the lab today I will try importing the pack into my Ipad again to map out the exact path I took... As for compatibility by iPadOS I'd have to do more research... @brambos would know best in that department... My ipad is barely 2 years old and i remember going to i think dropbox where i had the file then sharing and finding Hilda... it didn't appear at first then i ticked the refresh button and it was there...
Did you download the file from your iPad browser? After it is downloaded, the option comes up to "Open in...". For me, Hilda was one of the first suggested apps to open the file with.
I remembered starting to get slightly frustrated because the first few tries didnt work for me either... I almost tossed my iPad out of my apartment window when attempting to add Ruismaker Noir Presets but i felt that is an older app... I thought maybe it was Apple problem with iOS apps since i dont use Mac on a regular basis maybe it was my own lack of knowledge in that realm... Ive had to use it in random studios and back when I was in university but besides the ipod, this Ipad, i picked up end of 2021, is my only long term experience using the iOS setup... I assumed I never would need to import a Hilda bank since i have so many of my own personal sounds... Really don't recall the exact method I used but I will definitely try it tonight and give you the exact path step by step I took when importing...
Just picked up this beautiful pack. In an attempt to help others here, when I selected all the individual presets and shared them (via Files) with Hilda (via the Share Sheet) Hilda said she’d imported them (to the User Bank not a specific iamYork Bank). But she’d only imported the first patch, no others.
So I went back to Files, selected all patches and compressed them (.zip) from the sub menu and called the file ‘iamYork’. When I shared that zip file to Hilda she successfully imported all patches in a specific bank called ‘iamYork’. Job done 👍 Hope that helps someone.
Always happy to have more iOS preset options, cheers!
Look forward to a lot of sounds coming both in iOS and in VST/AU synths... I'm probably even going to start sharing patches for my hardware too... Been holding out too long... Time to share my personal sound designs with the creative community... I'll be creating video demos first on YouTube before releasing so feel free to subscribe and tick the bell for notifications...
