No host on iOS permits full/screen AUV3 windows, or am i mistaken? E.g. visually identical to standalone mode…. @sevensystems

There needs to be at least one UI control to exit fullscreen, though, so having a title bar/header seems like a requirement and would prevent exact parity with standalone mode. On desktop you can rely on keyboard shortcuts or on-hover controls to exit fullscreen mode, but not on iOS.

Not really, as you can trigger the show/hide of any auv3 window using on screen or external midi triggers.

Ofcourse there has to be a fail safe which could be a single button in the host UI.

Agreed, I have Drambo background/foreground toggle assigned to a button on my controller.

  • Great news that Samplr is getting midi input, it just needs to be an AU and it will be perfectly finished. (Unless it ever became hardware 🤣)

Just use the accelerometer to detect "iPad has been thrown against the wall going at least 200 km/h", no screen space wasted 😃

The touch interface makes it feel like a hardware instrument already, imo.

Cool, I never thought of that. Since I got a BT keyboard it’s really handy to change apps with alt-tab, along with other keyboard shortcuts. My minilab has been gathering dust, though

  • @Marcos do you think we will ever see multi outs for Samplr? For me personally, I’ve always seen this as a way to significantly open up the signal processing potential for all 5 samples in the app. What do you think?

  • I love Samplr, but I love more to dream about what kind of DAW @Marcos would make if he got enough financial and manpower resources. 🥹

  • I would think probably the best route for a V2 of Samplr would be to do what iDensity did, have an all-screen 6 sample view option and also host AU plugin effects. Then have a single sample AUv3 Samplr which you can have mult-instanced.
I expect it would need a complete re-write for AU which is why it's lower on the agenda.
