Hm...
One potentially interesting theory is that our universe was formed from a black hole, in a process that gives rise to a preponderance of black holes in subsequent universes.
This substack explains it better than I could:

https://theeggandtherock.com/p/in-which-i-tell-you-about-my-next
It's not as if we have well established ideas about early galactic formation, All of that was upended many times with the discovery of black holes, then dark matter, then adding inflation, etc. Now there are some murmurs about time and spatial dimensions being differently arranged after the big bang as an alternative to inflation. Like the Big Bang was in eleven dimensions and we live on a cooling four dimensional hyperbubble surface. It's going to keep being updated until we actually figure it out.
What formed the black hole?
Universe, or galaxy?

Universe 💫
Eggscelent article 🙏
This is from one of the scientists behind the theory:
https://www.insidescience.org/news/every-black-hole-contains-new-universe
Just to caveat: it's a theory, no-one knows if it's the truth. But to me it's no more implausible than say String Theory, which has much more mainstream acceptance.
Thanks. I just read the one about galaxies being formed by black holes. Given what I know about pre universe physics I I thought it must be galaxies. But I'll definitely be reading the universe one.
Oh yeah, The hello goodbye theory is beautiful. What a find. Thanks. Who would have thought I'd find this on a iOS device forum.
Could it be a cycle where every black hole in existence feeds back to the same intitial point in time and creates the big bang in first place? This would also explain that no information is really lost (was mentioned in the last posted video) after it falls into a black hole because it would be spilled back into the universe through the big bang.
At least you didn't say "Drambo"...
Thanks!
Meh, I couldn’t care about any of this… yawn
There are still mysteries in outer space… and still some in inner space:
Yet here you are…in this thread… 😂
Sure, in this universe. But what about in the rest of them?
Sciemce works the way "one step at the time" .. first blackhoke theory need to be co firmed data, then we can go deeper .. also without having proper quantum gravity theory, any attempt to speculate what beyond event horizon (or if our universe is inside of black hole then actually "outside" of event horizon) is just speculation
Well who’d thunk that, this ‘flat earther’

It’s definitely interesting. The problem with the vanilla Big Bang theory is that it doesn’t really address the question of what causes the initial spark, whereas this idea does. Of course you are then faced with the problem that it’s turtles all the way down (or in this case black holes), but every theory on the origins of the universe has the chicken-and-egg problem (including religious ones, because how did the supposed creator come about).
Sabine has some thoughts on this;
She also has thoughts about Modified Newtonian Gravity, all debate is welcome but doesn’t mean she is correct.
She would be the first to admit that she might not be correct, because that's exactly how science works. If a theory isn't bourne out by experiment or observation then it's discarded.
True, but science like any orthodoxy often blinds itself when confronted by the obvious.
Thanks for letting us know 👍🏻
Strangely illogical answer from @MrSmileZ.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I love this as a reply to anything. “I hate you!” “Sure in this universe but in some universe out there you love me”
She literally often goest agains orthodoxy in science :-D I think she even made one video explicitly about this topic (orthodoxy in science). She contradicts many generally accepted theories, i like her takes on simulation hypothesis or regarding multiverses (she is a quite skeptic in both cases).
Based on my (limited) science knowledge, her arguments sounds to me very logic and most inportantly - verifiable. Which is crucial thing with sience, doesn't matter who said something, but if that this is verifiable from other sources.
Btw. watching her channel for years and she really has no problem to admit when she was wrong about something. Big respect to her for this.
Funny fact: Try look to history at one of her first Youtube posts. She was actually making music![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
And the Egg and the Rock Substack also has a lot to say on this topic. The whole discussion has revolved around unorthodox ideas![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
