Seismic Bass Redefine Your Low End.

sub808 is the end result of countless hours dialing in and perfecting the perfect 808 - so you don’t have to!

Experience the instant power of sub808 in your productions and sculpt your bass into something uniquely yours with our intuitive interface, all within moments.

At its core, sub808 includes 50 Factory Presets, featuring 4 distinct flavors: Smooth, Tape, Gritty, and Nasty. Each flavor comes with its own unique analog character, providing excellent starting points for your creativity. Fine-tune these sounds to perfection with 8 Drive modes, offering precise control over drive and mix levels.

Variable Source Control

Each of the 4 distinctive flavors were created using our warm analog chain with mastering-grade converters, meticulously designed to seamlessly allow itself to integrate into any track.

•Smooth - classic analog sine based 808 bass sound, the go-to sound for booming 808 bass drums, kicks, and sub bass lines.

•Tape - mild tape-saturated triangle based 808 bass sound, for adding a warm, lo-fi touch to your bass lines.

•Gritty - driven saw-triangle based 808 bass with a coarser sound, giving your tracks more attitude for hooks and choruses.

•Nasty - Complex waveform based 808, completely abrasive, nasty driven bass to break outside genres and give you your signature sound.

Limitless Drive Combinations

Every 808 needs just the right amount of saturation, wether that is a crazy over-the-top tube overdrive, or just some subtle soft clipping. To ensure you can navigate the spectrum between subtlety and intensity while preserving your original sound, we've equipped it with 8 robust Drive modes. Dive into precise control over both drive and mix levels, empowering you to sculpt your audio with unmatched precision and finesse.

•Classic - A go-to hard-clipping saturation designed to introduce warmth and grit to your sound.

•Legendary - The legendary tahn wave-shaping (or soft-clipping for those who don’t know!) saturation pushed to an extreme at high levels.

•Crusher - A powerful bit-crusher designed to give a warmer tone and take your signal out of the norm.

•Unique - A non-linear wave shaping saturation designed to take you where you wouldn’t usually go

•Eighties - A recreation of the transistor based saturation found in a lot of famous drives

•Tube - A warm sporadic saturation to push your signal with the juicy goodness of a tube power section

•Preamp - A reproduction of the type of saturation produced by a pre-amp section of most audio consoles

•Killer - A broken sounding, dying transistor (germanium) saturation to give you a unique killer sound

•Cassette - An emulation of the gritty goodness of a tape cassette saturation

Smooth Easy-To-Dial-in Filter Cutoff & Glide Times

Experience enhanced versatility with a filter cutoff featuring both pre and post saturation modes, enabling you to position your filter precisely within the signal chain. Elevate your bass playability with the added convenience of an easily adjustable glide function, facilitating seamless pitch bending between your bass lines for added depth and expression.

Handcrafted Envelope and Shaper

We’ve dialed in a customized amp envelope, giving you just what you need: Attack & Release. To complement this further, a specialized transient shaper that can sculpt your sound from a smooth bass pad, to PUNCH kick drum sound with ease.

Collaborate, Anytime, Anywhere, on Any Machine

Whether you have a fleet of production machines, or if you collaborate with music makers around the world, we have you covered with cross-platform compatibility & presets to make switching between any machine fast and easy.

  • Yet another 808 bass synth, lol. Not gonna lie, the UI looks pretty sleek. Depending on price, I may buy it just for the UI alone, so long as I am able to also use it on my iPhone. (Then again, I love King of Bass as well, so I'm wondering how this will stack up against that.)

  • Yes, like the UI as well, we’ll see, hope for a little demo on this.

I'm sure @thesoundtestroom may do a short demo vid for us. <3

  • If it’s less than a fiver I’ll get it straight away - if it’s between five and ten I’ll hold back a little and hear what happens with any demos that come out and then decide. More than a tenner- I can wait a while just to be sure cos I have plenty of apps that are already underused. That’s the way it’s rolling these days.

It’s a great name though 😀 Sub 808 - the only thing that could better it would be supersub 808…….. when’s it out? 😀 I’ll take one please.

Not bad! I think I'll get it at intro price then. :)

    Thanks!

  • Here is my video for the sub808, it's very good, probably a good idea to wear some headphones, as it gets very subby.

I get an ugly crackling, even with a soft attack. And both in the plugin and standalone versions.
It must come from the synthesis/samples, because it gets better with closing the filter. So maybe it’s meant to be like this…

  • Baller! I purchased it. :)

  • Cannot get the AU to show. Hard reset the iPad still no joy.

    It’s an instrument

  • Oh ok cheers

    thanks for reporting

anyone else experiencing this? I'm keen to buy but will hold off if there's compromised sound issues

Can you please report that to the dev directly?

Btw, how does this compare with King of Bass? Is it kind on CPU?

Sounds great, looks sharp, lots of presets, 5 bucks. Love it. Sounds awesome in the car too!

    Did you try the kitchen?

  • I assume iOS devs study the supply, and demand of apps. I bought this because it was a fiver despite having king of bass. Like others had it been 10-15 quid I would have given it a miss. Err maybe I end up buying more apps! Anyway it sounds great

    And the grotto.

Are you able to get the trunk to rattle?

  • She’s pretty but I just don’t think I need her. What’s the diff between this and the other sub bass apps?

  • I haven't tried any other sub bass apps but I grabbed this yesterday and love it. The only thing I'd like is the option of a high pass filter but then I have plenty other synths that can give me the sounds I'd get out of this if it had a high pass so not a big deal. Cheers!

It's an instrument, basically a bass synth or rompler without the mids and highs. You'd use it for separate sub basslines, e.g. in combination with a higher pitched bass synth like a 303, where both would play different patterns.

Personally I'm using Fosfat or Bass Mint which just add sub bass to whatever is inserted before or carved out manually in the frequency spectrum.

I'd like to see a comparison with other solutions like the stock synths and presets in Logic (with a single band EQ @ 100 or 120Hz after) and how it does performance wise.

Not a fair comparison with Fosfat or Bass Mint as this lets you actually play a melodic bass line using 808 style sounds.

Huh? It wasn't a comparison, I've explained how Fosfat and Bass Mint work. The comparsion I'd like to see is against stock Synth plugins for bass lines which would be more than fair.
