Stylophon Theremin - aren’t you droners in love?.
This thing looks so fun!. We used to have a theremin in my indie band and it was one of the highlights of every concert, such a wonderful device.
This little thing looks amazing and seems like a perfect fit for all the droners around here… Also looks great on the shelf. It’s even better than BeBot!. What do you think?.

I think the drones are all waiting for this from Stylophone:
I know I am.
I wouldn’t mind receiving one of those boxes in the mail. My birthday’s in may
I'm on the waiting list...👍
Me too. For both.
.
How come is that since in this forum a lot of us are in love with ambient and drones and the iOS developers don't make more drone ambient/ synths? I would buy anything that heads that way
I agree with this statement.
Because the majority of OS developers are trying to develop apps for composing music
/i
You can use any synth for drone. What distinguishes a drone/ambient synth?
Mononoke is a superb drone synth, is it not?. It’s absolutely brilliant.
But I want an antenna!

I’ve considered the theremin (I’m fascinated by them, but never tried one), but as I’ve just bought another hardware drone synth, I’m not jumping at the moment. Looks like fun, though!
This thread made me revise my drambo theremin project using the gyroscope. Fun stuff
Ignore the troll !
Is there an app that produces a theremin like sound?
I've been waiting for Behringer to release it's long-awaited $99 Theremin based off the classic Moog.https://musicradar.com/news/behringer-theremin-midi-keyboard-taurus
Are you referring to me? In which way am I trolling with an innocent comment?
Nothing wrong with your comments. Why do you feel targeted? Read the thread again and you'll clearly see who I am talking about.
Check the videos in this thread for examples. Also th8 gs like elmyra/elmyra 2, Lyra 8, quantratid swarm… basically all the synths here:
https://schneidersladen.de/en/desktop-synthesizers/drone-noise/?p=1
They are a bit different from the norm by having more feedback routing and modulation points, and don’t have a traditional keyboard.
It’s true “most synths” can drone but some are made especially )
Hardly trolling. I suspect it was more like friendly ribbing.
Sorry then, it’s just that you posted after me and I thought you meant I was being sarcastic or something.
No idea who the troll is, though
Edit: oh, I see. Don’t let it bother you. Besides, they’re not wrong 🤷♂️
I personally would never call Theremin a drone instrument, because in the same way you could call saw a drone instrument.
They could be less condescending though. live and let live?

Back to topic: you’ve never really droned until you washed a greasy grill bare-handed under a jet of warm water
Are crimes against fiscal probity a thing? If so, Herr Schneider is in deep dodo. That Solar 42 thing is just obscene.
🤣
Only watched the start of this and she’s so joyful it’s superb!
On the theremin, I entirely agree. For the uninitiated who think it’s just sci-fi bleeping, check out the great Clara Rockmore:
Edit: nowt wrong with sci-fi bleeping, BTW!
