There are certainly a lot more jobs for it popping up these days. Friend of mine who has been in games 25+ years calls them 'species traitor' jobs. They are not a happy camper right now. Some studios are all in, others are against it and some are finding grey middle grounds like outsourcing and knowing the outsourcers use it but not asking too many questions.
Just wait til people find out that things like doctors, lawyers, judges and politicians are no longer "needed" because they can easily be replaced with A.I. I guarantee they'll want to make laws to prohibit it.

NeuM. By the time law makers finally get around the passing laws it will be too late. It’s already to late. Pandora’s box is well and truly open and every big technology company in the world is investing huge amounts of money to be the first to create working A.G.I.

Commercial art is adapting to this wave. The fine art market won’t be affected. People will continue to value rare and unusual things.
Don’t forget about the human factor, greed doesn’t have a limit. For example, CPU processing power, money, etc. It’s never enough.
Artists are already spending the same amount of time, if not more, to produce the desired generic output.
Again, it’s a “garbage in, garbage out” situation. It’s possible to get any kind of output you want if you are able to work with these things.

Trans woman and major Conan fan here. (The original novels and Arnie’s incarnation both.) I wouldn’t want the brooding Hyborean king in spite of himself to be anything other than the brutish force of masculine nature which he is. Though he is actually more woke than you may think. For evidence: he is always ready to defer to the local gods of whichever land he finds himself in, as long as he can still owe allegiance to Crom as well. Live and let live, an impeccable liberal in that regard. And appropriately sceptical, to boot:

And if we are looking for a motto to address the ethical dilemmas of our existence, you could do a lot worse than this, which is pretty much Robert E Howard having Conan put his credo right out there:

It was always the Viking like existential fatalism of Conan, and, yes, his eternal outsider status, that I could definitely relate to as a nerdy queer kid. That, and his huge muscles, obvs…
Conan brooded as his creator did. Howard, a correspondent and colleague of Lovecraft’s, his stories appearing alongside HPs in the pages of Weird Tales magazine, suffered life long from depression, and went on to take his own life following his mother falling into an irreversible and terminal coma. It was a tragic end for a man who never lived to see how immortal his uber-butch creation became.
Interesting to note that Howard was reportedly a bit of a weed himself in his youth, and took to bodybuilding to address this.

Seeing a bit of The Punisher and Daredevil shows I think there is a chance it could work. But yah that was a few years ago and these days it is a coin toss.

I am just tired how much is Netflix (and also MCU in post-Avengers era) pushing this topic, together with racial equality and woman emancipation at all costs, into every single movie/show, at the level where it is judt ridiculous and makes absolutely no sense in context of storyline … often they go 100% against book .. it already ruined a lot of remakes and book adaptations for me, especially in scifi/fantasy area..
The progress is amazing. A few years ago an app would require multiple images with different lighting and camera angles to make a convincing “deepfake “ video. Now with a single image it’s possible to make something far more convincing. Like many, I do worry about how the technology will be used.
I definitely enjoy the ability to remix images and create art (if you’re willing to call it that) that never would have existed without machne learning technology. I love the idea of being able to create an entire movie just by describing it, almost like the holodeck on Star Trek. But I also know there are people who will use this to make things better left unmade and there are people who’s livelihood is at stake.
I guess it all comes down to how you feel about individual liberties versus public safety. And even in that light there are many different ways to look at it. I don’t know that we will ever all agree on what is worth the risks.
