@Jökulgil , You might try logging out of iCloud, then back in.
@Birdpie - and restoring the whole device means it will be forced to update the OS and all apps to the latest version. If you have any apps on your device that are no longer in the App Store, they will be lost. In most cases you'll have to do "restore purchases" in apps with IAP's, and you may have to re-download any IAP content such as sound packs.
yes, iam aware of that. but a transfer from a old to a new device will force me to do that anyway. or is it possible to do a 1:1 clone?
i don't think so.
Nope.
I have been using this sync app https://apps.apple.com/de/app/sync-folders/id530573877 for a long time to save and synchronize my Cubasis data and other to/with external storage devices (USB sticks, microSD cards).
Very reliable. Many different sync options allow you to define whether, for example, the copy should be retained even if the original is deleted or whether the original folder and target folder should always be identical.
There is also a version for synchronizing with MAC.
I now have the iOS Pro version. Solves many backup and sync issues for me.
But it doesn't seem to be very well known.
Have a look at the free version and play around with test data and folders.
Good luck!
i can have all my samples backuped in icloud, thats all i wanted.
with a fresh device or a complete new install of ios you have to restore those iaps and do updates anyway.
