lumbeat auv3
hey guys,
is there any hint somewhere if or when the lumbeat apps become auv3 besides
their bass app?
i don't buy apps without auv3 sonce years and ask myself how apps or developers can even survive without that.

There has been no info about that on this forum, and I assume it would appear here if posted anywhere else. My rule is only to buy apps based on what they offer today, not what they may promise in the future.
If developers see a consistent bump in sales after they add AUv3, that will better motivate them to convert additional apps. If sales are artificially bumped before then based on hope that they'll add AUv3 support, that blurs the line.
I’m sure LumBeat has looked into adding Auv3 to the drum apps. The iBassist app is different compared to the others and was probably more easier to do Auv3. I heard that sometimes it can be a challenge adding Auv3. Look at Synth One, you know by now Audiokit would for sure of added Auv3 if they could have. I’d imagine it’s like trying to put additional foundation underneath a building when the building is already built.
What do you base that certainty on? I think it has been a subject of discussion before, but I don’t recall this being mentioned.
Neither was iBassist ever mentioned as being under AUv3 development until late in the game. It just appeared out of the blue. I share @majorwizard047's optimism, but I'm not going to assume and am not holding my breath.
I’m not certain, it’s just a hunch. If they added Auv3 to iBassist, also with everyone requesting Auv3 with the other LumBeats, then it’s safe to assume with a high probability that they looked into or assessed the situation for adding Auv3. Doesn’t mean they will. The key word is “looked into”. There is that small chance they haven’t even bothered looking into it.
Luis has mentioned it in the past .. and at that time said it wasn’t practical/possible. I can’t imagine any serious iOS developer hasn’t at least given serious thought to turning their IAA apps into AUv3. Some decide it isn’t practicable.
Only time will tell if Luis has decided that it will be worth his while.
I think you can make an exception for Lumbeat apps.. they are just that special… Ableton link (2nd IPad), the midi and audio export are great too..
Wishing for an IAA redo of iBassist…
I agree although usage is not as seamless as AUv3 is. My Funk and Future drummer doesn't load in Loopy Pro from time to time. I need to run drummers at first and then start LP. Not a big issue but I'm constantly forgetting to do that
Would be great to hear from @LuisMartinez if there is any progress in AUv3 development or if there is some kind of roadmap like e.g. Loopy Pro has.
I do hope Auv3 does come along... But I'm treating them as 'hardware' on a dedicated iPad...
Hoping some of the drummer apps ship as AUv3. This IAA stuff is painful.
Is there any news on this? Right now there haven’t been any updates for at least 8 months for most of his apps
Still in the works - wish i knew more - but I’m sure this is going to be updated
AUv3 should be ready this year.

Man it would be so cool if he could create a Steve Gadd IAP in one of his Drummers.
Someone needs to lock Jim Audio and Mr. Lumbeats in a room for 24 hours...
2025 will be an interesting year.
Thanks.
