iPad 9th gen (10.2") here. Smaller wouldn't work in Drambo without a Pencil I think. Also nice to have the headphone jack and still a good performance and battery life.

iPhone 14 Pro Max with 1TB storage. 😉 For the most part. I master my music on a Mini 6 in Logic.

Why are you using the iPhone over the Mini 6 for production? I've noticed that you're often chiming in when it comes to plugins that aren't available for the phone. I mean the mini 6 is also quite portable.

My iPhone has more storage space than my Mini 6. Pure Synth Platinum alone takes up nearly 100GB space.

Wow, that app wouldn't even fit on my current iPad lol. So if they come with a new Mini with more storage space you'd switch for sure then.

Definitely for sure! If a Mini 7 arrives with at least 512gb storage, no question I'll switch, lol.

    9th gen 10.2″ (2021).
never mind the screen size, it has the longest battery life of 2021 models.

  • I use my iPads mostly for live work. Started in 2013 with an iPad 3, and then got an Air. In 2017 purchased a 2nd Gen. Pro, and I love the size of that thing! So much easier to see at a performing distance, and also great for charts on my drumming gigs. Its weight has not been an issue.

Two years ago decided to go with two iPads instead of one for live work. So now I have a refurbed Air 3 doing the heavier lifting, and a 2018 basic iPad for my home-built bass-pedal board. I'm fine with their size, and picked them because they are models that still have a headphone jack! (Of course I'll eventually need to upgrade and deal with that issue...)
