Yep - Just have to go and try buying it again (as long as you're still logged into the same account). It won't charge you.
This app is fantastic - I just love the sounds that it can make right out of the box. Best drum synth, in my opinion.
Can you make folder banks to save in or is user bank just a list of saves ?
I feel I need to save all factory presets to user ( because going through presets resets the multiouts )
Id then wish to create banks anyway to have different patterns saved to record to audio.
Seems you can via files app.
Seemingly good.
Im seeing a mixed bag of currencies flow your way sir.
Love all their apps
Silo is really good
And bassmint
Really liking the most recent update. It’s a lot better on iPhone now…
Great addition, imo
@Meek3 have you tried needlepoint? I never thought I would want an app like that, but after playing with it- it's pretty rad. I also like Bassmint. My go to bass app is @cem_olcay autobass and bassmint, Fettkraft, and Spatializer all sound fantastic on the bass chain.
I have them all 😊
Needlepoint is also great
Still feels far too small, if the UI was divided into three panels/pages and oriented portrait it would make far more sense on the iPhone…
Yeah, I would like additional panels as well.
@egobeats
Needlepoint is great as a vinyl simulator BUT
the best part in it - and seems that not many know or talk about it
are the fabulous compressor(s) section!
I usually turn off the rest of the app and just use that lil corner of it. So good on drums and guitar. “Secret sauce”, if you will
Yep! I did also mention this great compression sound I think in my video which covers all the unfiltered audio apps!
@Gavinski @waka_x @Meek3 @Squishy .
Re: Comp
I was just about to get Medusa before the sale ends tomorrow (03/20)is the needlepoint comp a valid alternative to Medusa?
Different beasts imo. NP is nowhere near what Medusa offers for dialing in actual compression, it’s more of a “toneshaper” if that makes any sense. It’s basically just one dial for mixing in the sounds of a bunch of compression styles.
Hmm, you know my beats you think I would benefit from Medusa?
I’m no compression expert (haha I hear that phrase a lot on here, so glad I’m among friends) but ya, I think you’d like and use it a lot. As a newbie to that stuff, it’s pretty easy to use and I’ve found it sounds great with the type of sounds you create with. If you don’t own a “main compressor app” I’d say medusa is a great start and I’m pretty damn happy I scooped it
I will occasionally use Bark Filter with the following:
Ratio 3.5
Attack 20ms
Release 100ms
Threshold - 4db
I got those metrics from Gemeni, asked it for some punchy deep drums. Pretty plain Jane I believe.
In regards to Batallion, I think it's so awesome to be able to use it on the iPhone. It has the most current beats/genres and unique sounds and aggressive modulation.
It means a lot to us iPhone users to get a packed drum machine like that.
IMO.
What he said!
Does punchlab make Medusa redundant?
No, definitely not, Punchlab is a jack of all trades type plugin, it's not a replacement for Medusa, just as its not a replacement for Fizzica.
Thx Gav!
Ugh… I just love this drum machine.
@Gavinski kinda silly of me expecting an explanation for what Medusa can do. You just have to experience it. I read dozens of time that it's more than a compressor, it's a tone shaped- you can't fully appreciate it until you hear it on what you thought was a booming track.
@timfromtheborder i'm really grateful to have it on iPhone. Feel the same about Tekno.
The clear sequencer addition is very welcomed. I have a blast discovering all those presets which I avoided because it was too painful to clear the sequencers. They are very well tought I think. Thank you for that
A feature I'd eventually like to see is the possibility to change the Global Depth in increments, like 10% or 25%, to be able to modify the effects (especially the pitch) in a more jagged manner than sweeping. It could be in form of a + and - button next to the rotary button. Maybe a box next to it to set the % of incrementation.
I have a question to you guys, when I use the Global Depth button, the volume inevitably goes higher than the "dry" pattern. So when I make a transition wet to dry, it feels kind of anticlimatic. How do you manage to equalize the wet and the dry signal?
This new groovebox could be running Battalion or other UA plugs in the future.
I’m trying to record individual hits in Battalion (within AUM), but every time I press record on the AUM transport, it triggers the Battalion sequencer. How do I get around this?
You could either:
1) Clear the sequencer lanes (tap the preset name and tap 'clear sequencers'
2) Tap the stop icon (square) at the top of battalion. Maybe a couple of times to be sure 😁. The play icon should then be 'solid' (not flashing) and shouldn't follow host transport. If the play icon is flashing it will follow host transport.
EDIT: just to clarify, clearing the sequencer will obviously erase any data you have in there, so don't save over the patch if you want to keep it 👍🏻
