Endlesss ceasing operations May 31
“We announce today, with heavy hearts, that Endlesss Ltd will cease operations at the end of May.
In what ways will this affect the apps you use and the music you make with them?
Servers and apps are live until the end of the month. These services will cease to operate on Friday, 31st May. Endlesss' apps will no longer be accessible after this date.
Due to this, we strongly recommend that users begin archiving their music immediately.
Rifffs can be downloaded from the app using the ‘share’ function and selecting to export stems or video output. These options can also be found in the Rifff journal.
We want to extend our sincere thanks to all of you. There was a huge passion behind this project that many of you shared, creating a community rich with talent and friendship. Endlesss has produced incredible moments and lifelong connections, both online and in real life. We feel honoured to have contributed to the development of an app that has gathered such a loyal following.
We understand that many of you will be very disappointed to see the end of this journey. As a team we feel the same way. Many of the team members started out as users of the app and saw huge potential in its ability to facilitate musical creativity and collaboration.
We remain committed to the vision of collaborative music making, and are grateful for you joining us on this journey.
With love,
Team Endlesss”

This app is so fun!!! Very sad to hear this news
well, with a name like that…
Aww, well that was fun. A shame they didn't do a local version update at the end. Is a handy looper even without the network aspect.
Correct me if I’m wrong but couldn’t a person continue to make loops and such within the app offline? Or does it have to be online to store the loops?
It’s definitely ironic…
Idk even know what app this is 🤣
There was a brief window of time that had an offline mode but eventually you had to have a connection. I believe that is still the case.
Let me guess... the business wasn't really profitable, even though "iPad apps aren't a bargain anymore" 😁
(sorry to see ANY indie app developer give up!)
The app was nice but on desktop is where it really was amazing for me. Ahh well, now I can focus on mixing my Endlesss opus, sigh.
Really unique workflow that forced you to commit everything to audio. The ultimate “destructive “ approach to music making. Provided some very cool ways to collaborate. Too bad to see its demise. Tim Exile and staff were really passionate and visionary.

Guess it wasn't really Endless after all. 😂 (Too soon?)
Anyways, in seriousness, Endlesss looked like a pretty fun little collab tool. I never tried it personally. Ah well, back to Dropbox and Google Drive and iCloud we go. 😅
I just used it solo and it was awesome. And yes, too soon, how dare you!
Hahaha! Well, looks like it's available for free until May 31st. Maybe I'll make an EP in it. Nothing like the pressure of time constraints to get the blood pumping, lol.
Get ready to do it one loop at a time. 😉
Or the app just wasn't popular and price was not the issue...?
Holy shit, one loop at a time? Lol. Oh, it's loop-based. Hmmm, now I'm rethinking. (Well, technically the genres I produce are mostly loop-based, but I try to sequence everything when I can, which is 99% of the times, rather than rely on premade loops.)
There are tricks where you create longer chunks (by slowing tempo), but it’s basically an 8 track looper with a lot of great built in sounds and effects with an interface built for live performance
I had so many hours of fun collaborating on melodies in this app. For me it was never about the things I made but about making them. I remember ruining amazing melodies with my ”contributions” and being super embarrassed, just to have someone use my mess and make it badass a minute later. I will really miss it.
It has been free for many years.
Now I see. Well it does suck it's going away just the same mate. Did Endlesss have a subscription model? Yeah, controversy, "subscriptions are the devil", blah blah blah, etc. Perhaps something like that could've kept the servers going for longer. I mean if it was all free to begin with, they could've added a subscription tier with a bigger library of sounds behind the paywall, or for cloud storage of projects, etc.
Some apps really shouldn't be subscription, like an EQ plugin for instance. But an app like Endlesss would've only benefitted from that payment model.
They are not premade loops. It is a looper.
F-ck it I'm checking it out to form my own opinions, lol.
The revenue model was very experimental at times.
Tell us your username or what room you use. I would love to collaborate with you!!! Or anyone here!!!
You know something? Maybe we can collaborate in a different app. Endlesss is more for me an experiment to see what it was like. I will start a new thread soon looking for collaborators, so be on the lookout for that mate.
Oh yeah that app… man i was terrible with that thing 🤣 nothing i did sounded good cuz i have no skills lol
Dang seemed liked a great concept a lot of people enjoyed tho… hope them luck in future endeavors
Okay, so I wrote Endlesss via FB Messenger suggesting they use a subscription pricing model. Honestly, I'd rather see a vocal minority bitch and moan about subscription pricing rather than see Endlesss end.
So, possibly more a case of clueless than endless...?
Didn’t they try that initially?
