I don’t have miRack but it does look like it could get the job done. I have been playing arround with plugdata as well. It seems like you could accomplish a lot in that environment as well and it loads as an auv3 which is cool.

I just can’t get on with plug data, I’m sure it’s very powerful, but I dunno, I just can’t seem to make it do anything

  • This is really a discussion for another thread I guess. But plugdata is super powerful but you have to do every little thing from scratch. I have been eyeing MiRacks for awhile. I was just hoping it would go on sale but hasn’t yet.

I think doing every little thing from scratch kind of goes against the idea of plugdata. You save anything as a patch, and load or integrate parts of already completed patches. It is more like Audulus, miRack, Drambo; people can build things and save them so other people can load them without having to build them themselves. Of course, anyone who wants to can build things from scratch, but that's not a requirement.

Not sure if plugdata on iOS is bug-free and robust enough yet, but there should be many plugdata patches or compatible puredata patches out there to find. There is a (sparse) repository at Patchstorage: https://patchstorage.com/platform/plugdata/

also at Patchstorage is a larger pd-vanilla repo, and plugdata incorporates pd-vanilla and is supposed to be compatible.
