The App Store also shows them, though it may not include them all.

  • Tried the update. No AU support = not much use to me in 2024

We still don't have flying cars either. 2024 is turning out to be a huge disappointment.

AUv3 in FL Studio would be a massive leap forward for the DAW, although I produce an album and EP recently in it. A fun exercise in working within limitations.

Flying cars however - thank goodness those don't exist (at least as of yet). People tailgating each other, failing to use their directional signals at four-way stops, rude, etc. Imagine these morons taking to the air and creating accidents that cause their flying vehicles to fall back down to Earth. 😂 Once automated driving is perfected (as opposed to manual driving), then I think it'd be safe enough to have flying vehicles.

Fully automated driving will also make composing music while driving far easier than it is today.

Ah yeah Wim, I was checking on an Android phone and for some reason when you do that it shows the price of the app but it lists IAPs without prices

  • FL Studio Mobile 4.6+ now lets you save entire racks of synths and effects as a preset.

Note that within each synth and effect on the rack you can set pan, level, and note range (for synths) so complex setups are now easily repeatable.

This is the main reason i want my car to drive itself… I’m sick of trying to make beats while i drive and also not wreck! Sheesh! What a hassle

  • What does FL Studio Mobile offer that Cubasis, Zenbeats, Loopy pro or or Logic don't?

It's not really a comparable product to any of those. I'd put it more in line with Gadget, though with not nearly as many synths. It's a mostly self contained DAW/Groovebox.

  • That new chord/strum keyboard option is brilliant!

Automation clips. Also FLSM seems to be easy on battery life.

As @wim said it's not really comparable to other apps like Cubasis, Zenbeats, Loopy Pro, and Logic. No AUv3 hosting support. But I've produced my first 10-track album in FLSM on an Android tablet of all platforms, lol.

    I absolutely agree.

  • @jwmmakerofmusic You are the absolute freaking ambassador of FL Studio Mobile on Audiobus Forum… Image line should definitely be having you on the payroll bro.

  • I think FL Mobile gets the most updates out of all of them.

Hahaha. Oh I've been with Image-Line since 2003/2004 when my mum helped me purchase a license for FL Studio proper. I've been with Image-Line since those earlier days (not from the earliest days, but let's just say FL Studio proper used to have a steampunk aesthetic to its interface and a "lego blocks" sequencer). And there was one chap working on it, the legendary Gol, aka Didier. (Gol has since retired as sole dev of FL Studio proper.)

Regarding iOS, believe me, there was a time where FLSM 3.0 was released, I was completely underwhelmed by it. FLSM 2.xx was based on the Xewton Music Studio architecture, and I liked it a lot. FLSM 3.0 seemed very underpowered compared to what 2.xx could do, and so I wrote off FLSM for years, far preferring Gadget and Nanostudio 1 (then 2).

Then in late 2022 I challenged myself to create a Lofi EP in FLSM on my red iPhone SE 2nd Gen, and it instantly became one of my go-to favourite apps. This is that EP which can be streamed for free.

The 2nd gen iPhone SE's battery was notoriously rubbish, so for it to hold out as long as it did when I produced music in FLSM while waiting at the mechanic to fix my car was a godsend.

  • @jwmmakerofmusic : You use FL 24 though? FL Cloud is 🔥 from what I can see though I’m trying to stick to Logic for iPad for now ..

Ah, I wish. The Windows laptop I purchased for file management on my former OP-1 Field is quite underpowered for anything outside of basic tasks, lol. So for now, I'm 100% iOS. And yeah, Logic for iPad is a super solid choice. One of my favourite Youtube music producers, Ocean, uses Logic on Mac. I myself couldn't wrap my head around LP4i's UI and workflow and can produce so much quicker in other apps. :)

  • @jwmmakerofmusic : For that reason Pete Johns suggest starting projects in GarageBand iOS and then if need be, export them into Logic Pro either for Mac OS or iPad

I've tried that last May/early June 23. I quite enjoyed that, but I'm a creature of habit, always gravitating towards the creative tools I'm fluent in using swiftly. :) (Not gonna lie, I still keep Logic for its AI Mastering, lol).

  • Whoa, thanks for the tip on this. Redownloading the app on my Android as well. Gotta check out the differences.
