Agree 100% - the last two apps (or three) I would keep in a desert island situation is Pianoteq v8, Synthmaster v2 and Logic Pro…
Pianoteq v8 certainly the best valued app!
My dream-app to iPad has been a direct clone of the Korg Oasys from 2005-2009…
There were many years I was longing for an Korg Oasys 88, but, the pricetag $8000 was something I couldn’t manage around 2007-2009.
That Oasys should replace my Korg Triton Xtreme, but, it never happend, although I have seen used item for ”just” $3500-$4500.
To have this clone on iPad (just as the original 10” touch screen) could be an awesome product/app - it naturally should includes all seven (7) sound engine and the exact same user interface…
Korg could sell a dedicated hardware keyboard or controller as a complement?
I have always love Korg as a company, and, on Apple platforms they have done sooooo much great stuff!
It’s incredible how we all use apps differently. Pianoteq has been my number 1 used app since I bought it last year, and 99% of the time I only use the Steinway D Classical preset with no tweaking. Worth every penny, I love it. I only have the Steinway and classical guitar models, but it had never occurred to me that this would be a sound design tool! How do you get your flute sounds?
Nanostudio 3
Give me automation in AUM...then I'm good...
If Synthesizer V came to iOS it would satisfy my GAS for years.
A quality super synth - e.g. Diva, Serum, Pigments, and some better AUV3 classic synth emulations, like Arturia V collection or Repro 5. From what’s currently available, I’m just waiting for the full MixBox to go on sale.
That hasn't been my experience at all. I have most of their synths and several effects and use any number of them daily.
All Korg standalone synths being made AUV3. Or I'll simply take iMono/Poly and ODYSSEi as Auv3.
They recently made the iM1 AuV3 so I'm quietly hopeful for the Odyssei.
C'mon Korg, get the finger out!
I've said many times that if V collection came to iPad I'd be fully done with the app GAS, and I stand by that. But honestly just Pigments would be amazing.
EG Waveshaper and Polywave
Ok, perhaps my opinion are subjective, not objective…
As I said, Cherry Audios products are really great, but, not on pair with ex Synthmaster family or Twin3 and maybe Zeeon…
Ha!
That would never happens, never…
Nanostudio v2 is still a halfbaked products almost six years since release, so, longing for a version 3 is like longing for a reunion of ABBA or KiZZ - it will never ever happend…
I’m with @lasselu : AUM automation. I’ve got current Bitwig and last year’s Ableton, but almost everything I do, I do in AUM, and post direct from there via AudioShare. Automation would take my possibilities to the next level. I would pay a lot for that. Is it really too much to ask?

Open and have a great session
Never open again
Forget about it.
For 90% of apps, that's me too
Too many apps isn't my problem, it's too little time to keep using them all. If I only wanted one more thing, it would be a way of automating each lane in AUM to be transferred to a track in Logic iPad - that would save me lots of time.
That was not part of the question.
…but some part of honest opinion - sorry if I let you down.
Think I need a 3rd blueboard and another Roland dp-10.
Its almost digitone price for sustain pedals
but decided to put a double bass on a 3rd ipad ( instead of another )
and although sidechaining sounds whack on a double bass and is like latency.
Still feel it should be there and a bit of vibrato is needed sometimes. Although less than violin, viola etc.
Its a cool instrument and with how you bow with the screen.
I think you don’t understand my position:
I will stop buying apps once NS3 drops.
That is, I will be buying more apps.
Maybe my humor was too dry?
Does no one find that worth a giggle?
Not like this was a serious thread.
One more before I quit, hmmmm…..
ABELTON
It was just a tad drier than the Sahara. 😂 Sorry mate.
For the most part I've simply stopped buying most apps. I only purchase new apps from certain devs like Brambos and FAC and the like, and even then most of those don't get used.
Doctor Vibe was the last app I purchased, but it has proven utterly valuable to my workflow. It has replaced Beef for my drum buss, and in fact I use its compressor on everything in my mixes (I usually switch the vinyl section off) except for the master track. How the f-ck does it glue everything together so well?! 🫢
Back to topic, when I do have GAS for something new on iOS, it's almost always going to be a new sound pack IAP for any of the romplers I use. That's about it. And if a new rompler somehow appeared, I'd probably instabuy that too.
Not an addict, but I guess I was, very low key, a while back.
What stopped it was realising that I already had pretty much all I’d likely ever need, or even want to use, frankly.
Occasionally, like maybe once or twice a year now, something on sale might catch my eye, but 9 times out of 10 (at least), I still won’t buy it. Because again, I look at what I have, and realise.. as above.
It’s where I’m at but I’m waiting on those two for my completionist needs … an addict lol
So we are hoping devs will quit making apps ?

It wouldn’t be apps for me. More likely to be an extremely expensive piano. Then I will quit. Maybe.
