I would be glad to have Cakewalks Z3ta+ back in business!

Sure, we have so many synths today that covers everything , but, I loved Z3ta+ the first years we could run it without any hassle...

I know that if I rewind the date in my Apple devices, I can still run this beauty, but, is it worth the struggle?

I like it so much, I tried to buy it, but Bandlab refuses to sell it.

    Yeah, great synth!

Pretty impressive that is stills run smoothly on iPadOS 18.1 Beta5 (if we forget the ”bring back date thing”, and on iPad Pro M Apple Silicon!

  • Roland SoundCanvas … memories of the 90’s PC centric music production world. I bought a “Roland Go:Keys 5” to have all these classic Roland sounds outside of Zenbeats “IOS Unlock”. I have the IOS
Unlock but don’t click with Zenbeats as a walled garden. Roland is sticking with co-opting IOS into it’s
    platform strategy build around Zenbeats.

Oh well… we have so many synths to choose from.

Finally we have apps that replace it but damn it was good in the day.

    Whats the replacement?
Also Flying Haggis was good too.

  • I know they are still in the store, but the Embertone apps haven’t received updates in years. They flake out at times. I will be really sad when they end up going south, as I use them all the time.

  • As @Coloobar mentioned in another thread HoneyChord.

You can always run MacOS on Windows thru some of many good Emulators or Virtual Machine apps like Parallel or similar…

  • Another really old one !

  • Alchemy & Nave updated as AUv3 would be delightful
    No, not the Logic version.

  • Can’t believe this app still works after all this time. Groove Machine from the makers of FL Studio. I was blown away with it when it first dropped on iOS.

this is one i've got going still, too.

I've walled off my Air 4 from further iOS updates to keep this one, and several others mentioned above.

my list of lost favorites is too long, 14 years in the making!

    big ones:
Electrify (i do have this still on my ipad 1, iOS 5.something)
    Electrify NXT

  • I'd replaced Rhythm Method with Stroke Machine, but don't use either of them much these days.

I even wrote to Embertone asking them to bring a standalone version to macOS. They said they’d look into, but then nada.

I recently tried to contact them, but their website wasn't working properly for me
