Wow! So that's traffic? Maybe we're being scanned to add to an AI...
That would be over in a matter of minutes.
Theres no reason for a denial of service attack, so it has to be entities probing for exploits. It's a little surprising it shows in web traffic though.
Probably some new script-kiddie scanner out there going after Vanilla Forum vulnerabilities. It'll probably pass ... but not before causing Michael to pull out some hairs.
Not necessarily…I’ve had other AI scraper bots messing with the site over the course of days that I’ve eventually discovered and blocked.
Okay, I've enabled full caching at the CDN edge for non-logged in users, so it should drastically reduce load on the server.
Just noticed that when I click on a thread it takes me to the end of the page. Just started today. On iPhone.
So it's not just me. Yeah, instead of the forum going to the latest post, it goes to the very bottom of a page. Also on iPhone. Haven't noticed this issue on my iPad.
I've noticed this also, maybe for a couple of days. And it's not every thread. I've just had both experiences in different threads: open at the end, and open at the last viewed post. I am (always) logged in.
Update - Ever since today, this little bug has started happening on my iPad in Safari.
Interestingly, it goes to the bottom of the page containing the first unread post. Noticed this in a thread that had extended to a new page, but I saw the previous page, where I had last stopped reading. So, the latest tag does go to the correct page, just doesn't find the post.
