Thanks in advance
Just great stuff as always @Cinebient , love it!
+1^
@Cinebient
Reverse engineering your stuff has taught me so much, and really lays bare what a wonder Mitosynth is
Thank you
@Cinebient I love what you create with Mitosynth. Excuse if you've answered this question before, but what is your ios recording setup. What Daw do you use and how do you sequence mitosynth. I'm looking forward to the new patches!
Thanks!
I checked and I do have your first release! Awesome stuff!
I recorded this into BM2 (the only usable DAW for me at the moment on iOS) via Audiobus as Audiotracks (10 in this case). Normally i would record Mitosynth also into Logic via one of those Audio over usb apps.... but i just wanted to record something in 2 minutes Indeed it was the first sound i made complety with my iPad Air after long time. Without Mitosynth i wouldn't use it maybe anymore (beside as midi controller) and since there will be no desktop version anytime soon (yep.... i asked the mighty Wooji Juice i have no choice. The downside is when i really want to go complex with modulation and the XY pads there is to much unwanted noise (drops, cracks) because of limited cpu. In some cases i just hide it into noisy sound sources It really means a lot when i say that the little Mitosynth eat up Omnisphere 2 in some special areas! If i ever get a billonaire i will hire Wooji Juice to build my dream synth :-D
For the new patches i also will create finally some better sound sources with my professional tools like B2 reverb and Kaleidoscope etc. A simple trick is for exampel to create 2 samples for Mitosynth. A dry and a wet one. So i could assign a smooth morph via a XY pad. So i will put some high end reverb (and other things) into it but you still can use the dry sound source
@cinebient Thank you for answering my question. Yes, mitosynth is something special!
I will post a "Test Patch" here in an hour or so.... A simple one..... i created a sound with Sculpture (called Cinebientophone not really dry since i used the Sculpture intern FX. But then i put a large B2 on it. Imported them via Airdrop and AudioShare. Now you can morph (or automate) between these per pad 1 X, dry wet.... i will try to put them too as reverse on it on pad 1 Y). It's just an idea of the kind of things i want to do and if people would like it. The coming pack could be a bit bigger due to more and larger uncompressed aiff 24 bit samples (of course i will use the intern synth inside Mitosynth too) i will create for this. I just wanted to know what i can do with Mitosynth when i load some better and also pre processed samples (like in Omnisphere or Alchemy etc.) into it......
stay tuned......
Here something to try.... pretty large for one patch with about 20mb. Try to hold 2-3 octaves and then play with the XY pad 1.....

Maybe i share here and there one after one because a big package would be too large for download or for some.
A short example.... i just sustained 3 notes and played a bit with XY pad 1 here....
wow- nice!
Still amazes me that an iPhone can sing like this. Beauty
Thank's......
.....well, now i have another problem. It seems since my library gone bigger in Mitoysnth i got very often crashs. Especially f.e. when i play it via SoundPrismPro switch back to change a patch.... bang. That happens often now. Also in general when using other apps at the same time. I'm not sure how Mitosynth handles the audio sources. If it load always the whole content in RAM or just when loading the sound sources for each patch? I think i will conact Wooji Juice about it. Damn.... that is the thing with me and iOS. Sometimes i get euphoric to make a project but then it breaks because of such issues. I don't want to crash other devices as well with my library
Are someone else have still a lot issues with low RAM and crashes with iPad Air and older devices and in general trouble with some apps don't like work together. Maybe i have to upgrade to the next iPad in some months since i really want to integrate these stuff into Logic but beside using it as midi control and with some single apps it seems impossible without a crash every few minutes. I think i could live these days even with a 16GB (still hope for a 32 entree device) wifi only device because i just need a few apps on it.
For a short term fix, if you have a second iOS device, it might help to use the second decide as the controller, via midi over Bluetooth.
I still have an iPhone 5. Interesting is that this is not crashing with the same usage. But a bit too small....
Edit: Oh no...... it's crashing also together with SoundPrismPro....... well, that was again a short visit into iOS music production
I finally wait for 4GB RAM on an iPad and 3GB for iPhones...... and a more stable OS. The cpu is not the problem.
I miss the good "old" times with the NanoStudio and on my iPhone 4....... the OS was working like a charm. Must be the price of future :O
