Sugar Bytes is having a 50% off sale for Halloween. Apps too, apparently. I just bought Effectrix for 4.00 for completing my bundle. Awesome. https://sugar-bytes.de/shop/

4?
original price is 15.99 so half is 7.99
this is waht i see now
thanks anyway
I bought it thru the bundle. It says 7.99 on the Effectrix page, but thru the bundle it was cheaper.
I've got everything apart from Thesys.
I've heard some reliability issues with Thesys. Can anyone advise?
I'd quite a like a quick to boot up. quick to use midi sequencer to take multiple tracks of Midi from Fiddlewax Pro into. But I suspect Thesys won't import Midi?
That was weird, I just completed the bundle and got Effectrix for free! Wild.
Many thanks for mentioning it.
Bummer. When I checked the bundle price it said I would get Effectrix for free, but when I tried to download it I got a message saying that it is no longer available.
Same here!
their bundle just gone from itunes, few minutes ago it was for 17.99
perhaps they are fixing it
i have AUFX and Holderness fx, do i need Sugar apps?
cool,i got WoW for 1 buck (thru bundle).I like the new bundle stuff...edit:no,i didn't.Wanted to hit the"buy"button but it was already pulled.I don't care that much cause i already have everything i need from Sugar Bytes.
@Goozon:you can't compare them.SB are FX mangler with a lot of modulation possibilities while the one you mentioned are more"traditional".
This should be a lesson for devs, sales effect bundles!
I feel somewhat bad I snagged Effectrix for free if that isn't what sugar bytes intended. Hmm…
Thanks. Was waiting for WOW sale
I won't cry over having just missed getting Effectrix for free. There is a reason I didn't have it in the first place. I have Turnado, which is fun to play with sometimes, but I have never gotten anything usable out of it. Not my style, I guess. WOW, on the other hand, I love and use often. I would check out Effectrix for free, but I doubt I'd actually use it, so I definitely won't pay for it.
getting WOW...thanks OP!!
I wish they would add native Auria plugin to Effectrix.Thats the only thing that is tempting for me to get WoW.But is it worth to get if i already have Volcano?
It'd be hard to recommend it over Volcano, as Volcano is much more straight forward in comparison. It's just weirder to derive things from it. Fabfilter's plugs strike me as the most logical tools available, and sugar bytes seems to focus on covering the illogical side of things. Both can have their place.
I have both Volcano and WoW. Both are great and even though they have much in common they are also very different. If you like filter madness then it is worth it to have both.
Thanks for the heads-up on this - can't see the bundle option but I'll probably grab WoW and Effectrix. Already have Turnado and very pleased with that one.
Thanks for the comparison.There's indeed one more good thing about owning WoW:i could use it in Cubasis as well.
are these apps working with ios8? I have been eyeing these apps for a while.

Do you have any issues editing effects in Turnado, or do you use presets? I'm trying to figure out if I'm in the minority of people who find the tiny knobs and things in the edit screen to be deal killers for using Turnado. I like it so much, but I like to roll my own and Turnado's tiny switches, knobs, etc. are very bothersome.
I find the zoom in Turnado easier to deal with than Thesys for some reason, and Turnado has a great MIDI Learn functionality.
Got a pertinent question about Effectrix: Does it work with live input? For live effect processing?
The product description doesn't specify
Looks like I missed the Sugar Bytes bundle. Funny, I had never considered looking for that one before. I own WOW, Turnado, and Thesys, but not Effectrix.
Anyone know what the price is/was for the SB Bundle? It might be cheaper for me to Complete my Bundle than pay $8.99 for Effectrix. Thanks.

Yes -- it's not restricted to only effecting audio files. It supports IAA and Audiobus.
That being said, Effectix needs a MIDI clock signal to run, or else you need to hold down one of the MIDI trigger keys (or send a MIDI trigger to it) to make the effects sequencer "run."
Do the apps work with IAA?
@Seangarland The bundle price depends on if you'd bought any other apps on sale. I'd bought all of SB's apps on sale, so my price for Effectrix was actually higher there than buying it singularly, 23 instead of 17. Your bundle price will be different than mine. If they took the bundle down during this sale, 8.99 might be as cheap as you'll get it, maybe not.

I don't mind them (apart from the really tiny switches) and my hands are like a couple of bunches of bananas. I get irritated by the tap-to-zoom thing though - it tends to randomly zoom in when I'm trying to click a switch, but it's nice to have the extra control.
@papertiger said:
Is there a 'hold' option for the keys? That could be a deal breaker for me as my iPad2 will be maxed out already running an Effectrix/AB chain without adding a midi-clock app into the mix.
@ArcaneScreams said:
Thanks. I was wondering if anyone knew what the full price of the bundle would be. I believe I paid full price for the other apps.
I saw the price, but I don't remember. I think it said 35.
@monzo said:
I have tiny hands and bad eyes, and I hate them. I'm also a cranky old lady.
@monzo said:
I haven't noticed a "hold" option. It might exist but I don't think so because I would be all over it. There are some apps that work really quite well with Effectrix in terms of sending clock, but I can't remember all of them off the top of my head. Sector I know is one of them. I love loading something into Sector and then running Sector through Effectrix. Works like a dream.
I'll try and check which ones work, especially MIDIbus, since it's light on the CPU. Let me know if there are specific ones you want me to try.
Getting WOW definitely as I'm using Turnado and Effectrix.
Has anyone noticed on the screen shots of WOW and other of their apps an Egoist icon?
