I certainly hope so. when you're deep off into your zone sampling you don't want to go elsewhere it impedes the workflow. which do you like better Egoist on the desktop or korg gadgets new gadgets?
I'm guessing it'll be the same audiopaste feature as in Turnado, Effectrix and Wow to import samples into Egoist.
EDIT: whithout editing features most likely
well being that it's completely a different app to the others, I hope they understand the need for some simple editing,
Egoist got the upper on things like being able to non-destructively slice various portions of a longer samples, on various patterns. I wouldn't actually compare those two at all, completely different workflow and usage etc.

Ask them? I mean who knows. I wouldn't hold it against Egoist if it came out as an iOS app though. How many other slicers (Abu Dhabi, Sector etc) have built in editors..
I think they are going for simple and straight-forward workflow with the Egoist. The imported sample doesn't even need to be bpm trimmed for it to play in time since it is playing the sequenced slices of the sample.
I'm looking forward to Beatmaker 3 when it comes out some time in 2018.

Any chance some detail on this could be shared?
Weejam is releasing a drum machine/synth I am looking forward to.
don't like wee jam's interface but man it comes with the results, I'm expecting the new version to be impressive, they need to put some more videos up

I wish I knew. There's nothing on the web site. I emailed the dev a while back and he did mention something about allowing a song to have midi sequences of different bar lengths. As you know the current version locks you into a set bar length for all of the frames of the song, regardless of the length of the midi sequence.
Ah! Retronyms are working on a phase distortion synthesizer of their own make. It's called Digits. Should be interesting to see how they do on this one

Wish it was a port of Arturia's version of the Yamaha Cs-80.
I wonder if NI would bring their synths into iOS. Reaktor maybe too complicated for iPad, but Absynth should work.

wish they would bring in Metaphysical function, outside of that after imaschine I probably would pass

?? Came out last April...

Guess it's just an iOS 8 update.

Even if Reaktor proper couldn't be ported, it would be rad if the engine could still be ported. Then we might have access to some of the rather tasty looking Reaktor instruments like rounds or polyplex
I'm looking foward to the Kymatica AB Mixer.

Excited for this. Their description sounds intriguing. I've been using apeFilter a whole lot lately...quickly becoming my favorite filter.

Also, it was mentioned above, but Tony Saunders' new step sequencer app could be really good. He announced it here on July 4th (still unnamed), but after bothering him about it a bunch of times, he indicated he was going to get to work on it some more this fall:

To be fair, he has put TONS of work into improving Analog MIDISequencer and adding cool IAP's, so he's been busy.
I did not know that Genome had something new coming, however. A lot of people told me to try that out, but it seemed like it was falling behind a bit with the development and not always working.

thanks. we'll see. I have all of the apeSoft apps and love them in concept but don't end up using them very often for whatever reason. I think part of it is the snapshot type system for saving "patches."

a light-weight piano roll sequencer/editor would be SO awesome.
@papertiger said:
Understandable, I don't use the snapshot feature very much on any of their apps but should. I've really been into getting a patch together in apeFilter, running a sequence into it and controlling it with a midi keyboard (will take any filters you've applied and run it up and down the spectrum depending on the keys you're playing). Can get some cool results.
I don't think this is a rumor, but let me start it anyway... Drummer for GarageBand on iOS.
@stormHJ1 - started work on this again yesterday (as v1.9 of midiSequencer submitted).
The app will be in two parts 1) midi recorder/player that you can put in AB (if you want) to record all your midi traffic. 2) editor based on a grid piano roll.
Part 2 was mostly finished (you are showing an old photo there) and is similar to Gadget's editor.
Part 1 I am now returning too. Just linked up the record midi into a midi file (which can be saved). So adding quantisation now on recordings (start/length/end of notes).
The interface for part1 will look like audioshare (list on LHS, display window on RHS) and from this you can load, save, delete, play, record, rename midi files.
Unlike MidiSequencer, this app will feature new (more modern) graphics as it does not need to be retro.
