I Miss MobileMusicPro

I miss our friend @MobileMusicPro coming around here. Sems he hasn't uploaded on Youtube in slightly over a year. His videos are extremely helpful to me for learning more about Cubasis 3.

If you read this mate, hope you're well.

I agree! Great guy and very missed.

  • You know, I was actually thinking about him this week. Hope you’re well @MobileMusicPro

  • Me too. I bought one of his Mobile Music Pro Essentials packs and also downloaded a bunch of the free ones a while ago. They come with presets to load right into Cubasis, BeatHawk, Audiolayer, and more. Very handy.

  • Agreed, @MobileMusicPro was my gateway I reached out to Vortex awhile back to check on him, he was ok, this business is a rough one

  • He did a great series of roundtables with iOS devs. This is the kind of content that is missing now.

This reminds me of good old music app blog. Man I miss that one! Or later ipadmusic blog. Good times!

Still have to check out mobile music pro. But it seems I’m a bit late 😕

  • Here is the Round Table I did with him a couple of years ago, it also has Micheal, Tim Exile, Patrick Baird and Jordan Rudess.
It was good one with lots of app pricing and developer stuff.
Plus I talk quite a bit about the AudioBus Forum.

  • @/Everyone, Thanks for echoing my sentiments. I miss Vortex. Glad to hear he's okay.

@thesoundtestroom I'm checking this roundtable out during lunch. :)

This was so much fun and such a privilege to be a part of (despite feeling completely out of my depth the entire time 😅)

My favourite episode of the @MobileMusicPro Rountable was episode 2. @AnalogMatthew explaining how many app sales it takes to get to #1 on the App Store absolutely blew my mind. Their discussion on AI is really interesting a few years later too.

How many sales did it take roughly? Mind you, I imagine that the figures have changed a lot over the years. The market was much larger during the pandemic, for example, than it is now!

That little? Wow. I wonder what that generally translates to in worldwide sales.

Wow. That really accentuates how much of a niche is our little corner of the App Store.

No kidding. Our little corner of the appstore is pretty niche indeed. Glad we have our community here @Michael set up for us.

Sometimes 2 weeks to a month isn't much to worry about. Could be Jade went on holiday/taking a sabbatical from being online. If someone still doesn't post for more than a month and it drags on to be two or more months, then I'd say it's time to worry.

    Wishing Jade well. 🙏

Look at her YouTube community section - she's clearly alive and well!

  • I know this is silly, but I ~loved~ how he always used the royal plural “we.” “At MobileMusicPro, we recommend…”

    I loved the ambition.

    OK, thanks.

  • How bout John Walden of Mobile Music App Review?

  • @Telstar5 @Philandering_Bastard I miss them too. Man, I miss so many of the greats from the early days of iOS music.

I actually asked him about that. He said the at the beginning he was not alone in the project. Then he just stayed with it

  • I will say I still watch @jakoB_haQ and of course @thesoundtestroom on Youtube. Excellent videos.

It was Jakob who first alerted me to this forum so I’m forever grateful. To me , John Walden’s reviews left the biggest gap .

Oh my god same here! Gaz's enthusiasm was infectious. Their video is the reason I jumped on Gadget.

This video is what made me buy Gadget 10 years ago and spend (most likely) four figured on completing everything Korg iOS, which is Gadget's IAPs, external apps compatible with Gadget and their IAPs, including Module Pro and all its IAPs. Thanks Gaz and Nick for that. 🤣
