DeeACID by DOTEC-AUDIO (Released on iOS)
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/dotec-audio-deeacid/id6737628611
DOTEC-AUDIO DeeACID is a synth AUv3 plug-in that allows anyone to easily enjoy acid bass lines!
It is compatible with GarageBand and Logic Pro for iPad!
This product is a software synthesizer that supports Audio Units Extension (AUv3).
Music software that supports the AUv3 host function, such as GarageBand or Logic Pro for iPad, is required to use this product.
DOTEC-AUDIO DeeACID allows anyone to easily enjoy acid bass lines.
In addition to a wide variety of sound creation, the level adjustment for overdrive has been auto-adjusted, allowing you to twist the knobs to your heart's content.
The Ul is specially designed for use with a DAW, and MIDI controller assignments can be made quickly and easily.
It also features a variety of visual effects to enhance your enjoyment, so you will lose track of time and become absorbed in the fun!
In addition, the phrase generator can generate an unlimited number of phrases according to key, and can also be synchronized with the rhythm track for real-time play!
The generated phrases can be saved as MIDI files, so they can be loaded from a DAW and used.
By connecting an external MIDI controller and pressing the "Learn" button located below each parameter, you can assign the parameter to the slider of your choice, allowing you to change the tone more intuitively!

I see a key button on it, but no scale button. It doesn't let you pick a scale?
Interesting animations in the demo vid on the App Store. Cheaper than the real deal I had in the 90s
I don’t think it’s got enough about it to make an impact on the market. I’m not exited about it at all and I love this genre.
Sounds like pureacid, but with way less functionality 🙈
How is the sound when compared to PureAcid ?
I feel there are sounds like this in Synthmaster 2
Meh. It looks cool, but at $9.99 and I already have Pure Acid and also now that Chicago is AUv3, I'm pretty much covered with acid.
Pure Acid one of my GOAT on iOS apps.. I love acid but I can’t see this fitting anywhere PA doesn’t already.
This will be hard to sell for us here at the forum considering the price and options we already have
Drowning in acid here too. PureAcid, Rebirth, Troublemaker, BassLine (from MoDrum dev), Caustic's 303, Gadget's Chicago, RhythmStudio's 303 and a Behringer TD-3
But I wish the best for the dev
Yep you're right. I love 303s but most of us will have plentiful acid options.
I could be tempted if it sounds amazing though... was that a sub I saw? Diablo must be a distortion I guess.
I agree, this may be a hard sell, but it has a nice sound and a funky UI. It's only a tenner too, although I'd rather get Baby Audio's Atoms once I deposit tonight's earnings tomorrow.
If you’re an acid junky, then it’s approach that’s different from others and IMHO worth getting. If acid is not really your thing, you may already have what you need. I dropped it in NS2, drew in some automations and got some fun stuff going in minutes. YMMV
It seems it doesn't have a way to input notes besides randomizing, and that is missing a scale for me. But also it what makes it interesting
The randomizer in the TD-3 is the same
I think I'll give it a shot then. But, Atoms first. Should be able to get DeeACID next week and make something interesting happen.
as 303 purist - it’s not bad, but if PureAcid is maybe 90-95% of real 303 character/sound, this thing is 60% at best .. especially accent behaves very different from original… it’s a kinda in that territory but nuances and detail are different..
Richie Hawtin.
When I started listening to Richie Hawtin back in 2021, this was one of the tracks on repeat. Brilliant musician! I should try Minimal Techno again to be honest. Been a couple years. 😅
Yes. I had this on heavy rotation during the aughts, and something I still like revisiting.
I just got DeeAcid for desktop and Love it: set a key, hit generate, drag n drop MIDI to DAW and piano roll-tweak to taste.
Sounds laborious but is a really fast and fun way to farm acid hooks. As yet another ‘303 iteration’ it has its own vibe.
No drag and drop in the iOS version (and no direct midi out) makes that workflow more tedious on iOS tho
Wasn’t there another 303 synth app called (I think ) Square Acid? Seems to be gone from the App Store now
https://forum.loopypro.com/discussion/41792/squareacid-by-james-navarro
There was, and indeed it's gone from the appstore. Shame really.
I completely forgot about it until now
Same. I'm unsure if I even bought the app or not, because I used Troublemaker and Pure Acid more (and once I dug into FLSM back in late 2022, it also has a built-in 303-styled bassline).
Wow. Squaresynth 2 by the same dev is also gone. Why did he pull those I wonder? He is still listed as a dev on the appstore, so the reason is not that he didn't pay his dev fee...
Squaresynth 2 is gone too? That sucks. I liked that synth.
Whoa…glad I have it already !!!
Not tedious at all. Open DeeAcid folder in Files, export chosen file to desired app’s MIDI folder, apply to desired instrument.
Thought this could go well with Microtonic (Sonic Charge) but after a few tries I gave up. I tried it in Reason and drag and drop midi worked fine (you can do that with Microtonic too) they recommend on their page to try first as it doesn't work in all DAWs apparently.
