  • hopefully it is a cool new feature!
and not like , the addition of a sample store or something like that .
the “ whole new direction if people like it” makes me think that.
hopefully not , and it’s something badass, like they usually do. i can’t wait

I had that feeling of a sample shop type thing too! Like Patterning has.

I feel like that could get messy with Copyright laws though so I’m leaning on the side of that not being quite it.

I hope for the same to be honest that it's something badass and not a sample shop. We can use a plethora of samples we've purchased over the years in our creations already, so I'd say a sample shop would be redundant.

  • anybody here doing beta on this upcoming version of koala wanna give us a hint?

    Do you use Patterning?
I don't personally but seems like a cool feature within to have so many premade packs set up and to download if you choose.

important to note that Patterning's sample "shop" is completely free, you don't pay for a single pack.

Hilarious, @wim - I would be interested in Patterning but I can't get my head past Loopy Pro being the same price. Then I think for $5 more I could get Drambo AND every IAP.

Like my inner seeded contrarian cheap self is hard lined at a don't bother with it solely based on that. I somewhat dislike that part of myself, but it is a part of myself I'm forced to acknowledge. 😅

Patterning and Koala are pretty much the only two apps I use standalone with nothing else. Definitely worth the 30.

In the states, Section 230 of the Communications Act essentially protects website hosts from being liable for what a user decides to post - it essentially stating that they cannot be treated as the publisher of 3rd party content. The law is like a stopgap for platforms like Youtube, or Facebook to host user uploaded content without facing legal ramifications.

I'm not sure what the EU or the UK has in regards to their version of this, so I can't be 100% sure, but just because it's an ability with some vague safeguards doesn't essentially mean there are no headaches from it. It can be a massive, risky undertaking hosting user content.

My ears are perked at this Key/Scale transpose feature though.

Would much rather continue here so it can all be organized - I was never meant to be a leader of anything, including forum threads! 😅

The issue raised was a ‘Sample Shop’.. User Uploads were not raised as the ‘New Feature’ ..
RemixLive, Ampify (Bloc, LaunchPad) do run Sample Shops.. Would be nice for Koala… as it is Auv3..
