Most interesting observation in the piece: although one object is displaying conventional running lights, it was invisible to the thermal imaging of the police drone. Zero heat signature.
Wouldn't a battery powered craft show zero heat signature if it's adequately insulated?
With all the tech of our age and they can’t pursue a drone, if that’s what it is of course. Couldn’t they even send up a drone to make a closer inspection?

Very interesting. Has the identified traffic (Medevac, CoastGuard,…) been confirmed on any ADSB logging site? I’m always a bit sceptical about radio only recordings. And I’m not sure about the ATC conventions in the US, but when I learned flying in the UK it was convention to always use ‘decimal’ when spelling a frequency.
I’ve bin following the topic closely for over 40 years because I saw a UFO up close when I was a kid.

I don’t know what to make about the drone situation. When this first hit I saw photos of odd looking spheres hovering a foot above the tarmac on an airport runway. It was the size of a washing machine. There was a video taken by a pilot from an aircraft of this thing shooting up vertically into the clouds and disappearing.
Reports came from all over the world.
I have a horrible suspicion that the government is now using domestic man made drones to confuse the situation.

Best one I’ve seen so far was footage, apparently by professional photographer, in New Jersey which starts, in close up, looking like a messy ball of glowing white wool, which then morphs in real time into something which looks almost, but not quite, like a cross shaped plane, complete with red and green running lights. The guy is a real UFO nut, but I skip through to the actual clips of footage he has collated, rather than listen to his theories for a hour and a half. Is this stuff real? in a world with AI video, who knows?
There seems to be an awful lot of these pro photographers that are only just encountering the problems that auto focus has with dark skies, it’s beyond ridiculous how this is being magnified. The legit uap would be up in arms as it’s delegitimising any claims for seriousness they might cling to. Instead, they’re going bat poop crazy thinking it’s the second coming🤷
Having said all that, if the Feds are trying to save Christmas for western democracy, then all power to them😱

I think what is interesting is the number and volume of them, and the lack of corroboration regarding their source. Here in the UK we had major shutdowns of airports following just a couple of unverified reports of drone flights in the restricted air space. In the US, the attitude of the authorities in the face of dozens of eye witness sightings by cops, coastguards, service personnel, senior politicians and members of the public of intrusions into the airspace of airports, military bases, and sensitive infrastructure like power stations seems to be “we don’t know who these belong to/we don’t care.” Which seems strange in itself.
Aside some of the more sensational footage I’ve seen (a white orb transforming in real time to something that looks like a drone; a dozen ‘drones’ in formation apparently diving into the sea, etc, any of which could be faked/AI imagery) , it still adds up to a mystery, even if only why the US govt is so intensely relaxed about this apparent mass invasion of its airspace, or flaunting of its air safety rules.

@OnfraySin : let me be clear about my stance on this. I find it, like I find the Occult, interesting and stimulating to my creative juices to consider these things. I do not believe in either. Nor however do I believe everything official sources say about stuff.
It is difficult in these days of wingnut conspiracy theories and ‘do your own research’ claims from people unequipped educationally or practically to understand what ‘research’ actually means beyond a quick Google search, to navigate my preferred Fortean stance. That is, is to accept all reasonable evidence backed truth claims, but once the ‘reasoned’ position goes beyond its own competence into speculation, or indeed denial of speculation, then I find it ‘interesting’ to consider that there might be more to a situation than the apparently rational, public account is revealing. Or, as a very great creative once put it:
“There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,/Than are dreamt of in your philosophy” (Hamlet, 1.5. 165–66).
A phenomenological approach, if you want to get fancy about it.

You’re right of course, it is fascinating, though I am finding this particular outbreak of it a little bit scary in terms of just how bad the misinformation/engagement farmers have got, and how much danger they’re putting the perception of shared reality in. Maybe this is just the barbarian at the door of our short lived ‘civilisation’ here in the west, but it’s alarming seeing friends and respected colleagues getting wicked into a whirlwind of speculation, fear, and what’s starting to sound like utter mistrust of our own sense of society by what amount to really simple technical misunderstandings, sprinkled with fakery and decades of paranoid fantasy… that was a long sentence, sorry😅
While there have been leaps and bounds in new drone technology and capabilities, similarly methods of capturing, shooting down, tracking, and disabling drones via electronic means have also kept pace.
Yet it seems they’re regularly appearing in clusters over sensitive military air and nuclear weapon bases, but the response is to just let them do their thing.

@Krupa : agreed, I lost a long term friendship to pernicious conspiracy shit during the pandemic. It’s all a bit ironic, really. In my studies as a therapist I arrived late to the postmodernist party, but fell in love with the ideas of Foucault, Derrida, Butler, Deleuze & Guattari et al, became a bit of a fan girl for the death of Truth.
Who knew that it would be literally weaponised by the likes of Vladislav Surkov, arguably the inventor of fake news for the internet age, who persuaded Putin to funnel dark money to both alt right and left activist organisations in Russia simultaneously, thereby annihilating any sense of what is real by presenting multiple competing realities, and by extension compromising any effective activism, where any literal, if partial truth, becomes just one more, probably compromised voice lost in a crowd of competing whack-job tin foil hat wearers, a stance now exported by the Russian troll farms to the wider world.
In the Sixties and Seventies, the conclusion of any good conspiracy thriller like The Parallax View, Winter Kills, Three Days of the Condor etc was usually a) our hero in the cross hairs of a sniper’s scope or b) our hero’s expose hitting the press.
Now, it’s a shrug of the shoulders, possibly, if the viewer takes time out from doom scrolling to the next shiny thing. I suspect we would face an actual freaking alien invasion in exactly this way. At least until the death rays reach the bottom of our own street…
It’s quite amazing that the fears of tech have come to fruition, but it’s less the actual tech itself than the application of human psychology through it that’s allowed the dystopia to emerge.
not sure if we are talking about same video but did you ever saw in real life plane, during foggy night, which is flying towards you, shortly before it goes to land in nearby airport ?? It has front lights which looks like single light “orb” from bigger distance and as it approaches you closer, you starts identify it as plane which various lights (some blinking, red and green, some steady, usually white front lights) ..
It was plane. Absolutely obvious plane… It did not “morph” - it simply went closer :-))) It was flying partially towards guy with camera, probably in attiude like 1000-1500 meters…

watched it without sound but to me it looks like filmed from inside of car and at least some elemwmts are actually reflection on car’s window from something inside the car (tablet, some lights , or something like that)
Yes I remember an interview with an Admiral from the UK MOD, in response to the inaction with regards to the Rendlesham forest incidents, said he was at a loss as to why the MOD wasn’t concerned about the security issues it caused.

if there are non-human entities with higher intelligence on the planet, high chance the governments just don't understand what is going on and what to do about it. still if they have concrete evidence of something they should release this information.
hypothetically, some of the explanations could be very difficult for the population to understand. still not a good reason to say nothing.
if we manage to survive long enough on the planet, I'm sure new discoveries will be made.
I think it's possible there are living things we still haven't yet discovered in our world, but alien life seems to be the least likely of all possibilities.
I have to agree with you there.
I think it's utterly improbable that we're the only intelligent life anywhere in the universe. But the odds of them encountering us, or caring about us if they did, or appearing in ways anywhere near analogous to our modes of transportation are even more improbable. The universe is just too damn big.
How would zoological study be explained, by ourselves.
That’s just our motivation not even scratching the surface of another intelligence’s motivations possibly thousands, millions or billions years ahead of ourselves in existence.
If interaction was a possible motivation they may even construct an avatar or use symbolic representation to start a form of communication, a common vector would be needed for two way or one way interaction.
