I think it's possible there are living things we still haven't yet discovered in our world, but alien life seems to be the least likely of all possibilities.

I have to agree with you there.

I think it's utterly improbable that we're the only intelligent life anywhere in the universe. But the odds of them encountering us, or caring about us if they did, or appearing in ways anywhere near analogous to our modes of transportation are even more improbable. The universe is just too damn big.

Yep. I mean, you can even just settle for "the galaxy is too damn big", since the likelihood of meaningful intergalactic contact is nil. I find the "great filter" theory in answer to the Fermi Paradox to be pretty compelling, though of course it's just a theory which can't realistically be proven if it's true.

This is very good point. When i see current growth in segments of virtual reality and AI, i believe when we reach some point where people will be able to spent entire "virtual lifes" in absolutely realistic worlds designed based on their imagination, humanity will completely lost reason and will to explore outer space. We will create our own spaces to explore things.

I think, this is inevitable endgame for every advanced civilisation - after we become virtually immortal and invincible to any external events (no matter how much inlikely it may sound, i am pretty sure it's just matter of time), we realize that space is simply too wast to explore it at large scale, and maybe we also understand "dark forest" theory (in short terms - it's better to stay low profile a quiet cause you don't know what kind of dangers are waiting for you in dark forest around you) - then we turn back to ourself, connect into endless virtual worlds, probably even give up on our biological bodies and completely merge with technology to live forever inside virtual worlds we create ..

Personaly i believe that some unexplained observations are really non-human intelligence. But i also think it's near to ZERO chance they are from outer space - i am prety sure it's some form of life which developed on earth in parrallel with us (or even before use) - either on bottom of the oceans or underground. Not that sure with "inter-dimmensional" stuff cause based on our current level of understanding of physics this is much less likely than "underwater" or "underground" high-intelligent life.

What bothers me is, that "they" are obviously much more technologically advanced than us. So hope, they intentions aren't malevolent, otherwise we are fucked.
