    Re food, my input is, while on holiday in the Lofoten Islands (Norway) earlier this year we went for a meal and I asked if they had any starters suitable for vegetarians. The young girl, without batting an eyelid said ’ We can take the whale off the salad’ 🐳

    Thanks Tony. This thread got a little carried away, but it was fun. I wish I had an island to visit. The nearest one to me is Blue Island. It’s not an island, and it’s not blue. I doubt that they have any restaurants that serve whale. Probably not much whale for sale in the Chicago area. It’s on my short list.
